We Love

  • Embark on a New Year's adventure starting off in Stockholm, an elegant and modern city dotted with islets and green parks.
  • Then take the mini-cruise on the Baltic Sea on New Year's Eve, with an included Gala dinner and many activities to celebrate.
  • Finally, land at the beauties of Helsinki, with an elegant mix of Scandinavian and Russian influences.

Your Destinations

Stockholm

Explore Södermalm in Stockholm, a vibrant district known for its effervescent atmosphere and range of shops, trendy restaurants, charming cafés and art galleries.

Stockholm’s good looks and fashion sense could almost be intimidating. But this city is an accessible beauty, as easy to explore as it is to love. Though spread across 14 islands, connected by 57 bridges, it is compact and walkable. Each neighbourhood has a distinct character, yet they’re so close together you can easily spend time in several areas. In each, you'll find trend-setting design, inventive cuisine, unbeatable museums, great shopping, pretty parks and loads of atmosphere.

Helsinki

Helsinki is an intriguing mixture: a neo-classical marvel with an art nouveau quarter interspersed with Alvar Aalto's spectacular modern architecture and set on a peninsula jutting out into the Baltic. Smart pavement caféson Esplanaden; gourmet restaurants at a fraction of London prices; concerts and ballet at Finlandia Hall; boat trips and great value shopping particularly for iconic design brands.

Our Offer

3 Nights:
1 night in Stockholm (Dec 30th)
1 night cruise on the Baltic Sea (Dec 31st)
1 night in Helsinki (Jan 1st)

Day 3: Helsinki
Day 4: Departure

Your Itinerary

Embrace the Scandinavian atmosphere during a magical weekend that combines mini cruise in the Baltic Sea and the discovery of two fascinating capital cities. Stockholm is an elegant and modern destination, dotted with islets and green parks whilst tranquil Helsinki is surrounded by maritime influences.

Day 1: Arrive in Stockholm
Arrival in Stockholm and make your own way to the hotel.

Visit this elegant capital dotted with islets, green parks and tree-lined squares. This "city on the water" houses extraordinary old houses, vestiges of its past. Visit the Gamla Stan, an old medieval city with winding streets full of craft stalls, art galleries, shops and second-hand bookshops. Or see Kungliga Slottet, the Royal Palace built in 1690 and 1754, which is very rich in historical memories. The Stadshuset, the town hall, is built on stilts and houses sumptuously furnished rooms.

Overnight stay at Clarion Amaranten hotel or similar when booking the classic package or Scandic Grand Central hotel or similar when booking the premium package.
Day 2: Stockholm and Mini Cruise
Enjoy a buffet breakfast at the hotel and relax during the day before making your own way to the cruise.

Cruise itinerary:

3.15 pm: deadline for registration at the Tallink Silja Terminal line
3.45 pm: board one of the magnificent boats
4.45 pm: the ship departs from Stockholm and takes you into the Baltic Sea through beautiful archipelagos

Several attractions are offered on board:
- gala dinner at the restaurant offering Nordic specialities
- bars
- shops without taxes
- casino
- auditorium with international show
- entertainment (including plenty for children)

Let yourself be carried away by the atmosphere of romance and celebration before returning to your cabin.
Day 3: Helsinki
Enjoy a buffet breakfast on board before your cruise arrives into Helsinki and then make your own way to the hotel.

Have the day to explore the Finnish capital, with sights such as:

Senaatintori: a beautiful architectural complex of Plaza del Senado. An Empire style artwork (scenes from the film Dr. Zhivago were filmed in this square).

Kauppatori: the picturesque market square, bordering the harbour, is characterised by an abundance of flowers, fruit and busy merchants.

Tuomiokirko: The cathedral was built in the 19th century, with an imposing copper dome.

Temppeliaukiokirkko: An incredible church carved into the rock where the acoustics are excellent.

Sibeliuksenpuisto: The neo-Byzantine Orthodox cathedral erects its powerful red brick mass on the island of Katajanokka.

Explore these marvellous sights before returning for a night at the Holiday Inn Helsinki West Rouholahti or similar when booking the classic package or the Sokos Vaakuna or similar when booking the premium package.

Day 4: Return Home
Enjoy a breakfast at the hotel and take a last stroll around the city or buy some last minute souvenirs before making your own way to the airport and boarding your flight home.

Health

For information about important health advice and any vaccinations required please visit www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice and https://travelhealthpro.org.uk/countries

If vaccinations or other preventive measures are required, you will need to visit your health professional at least 8 weeks before your trip. In the event that you are referred to a medical facility for treatment, you should contact your insurance/medical assistance company immediately.

Please note that passport, visa and health requirements can change. It is every traveller’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport, any required visas, and all the necessary vaccinations/health requirements as well as adequate insurance.

Brexit

If you are travelling to the EU, the UK government recommends that you have six months left on your passport on the date of your arrival to an EU country. You should also check when your passport was renewed.

If you renewed a 10-year adult passport before it expired, extra months may have been added to your passport’s expiry date. These extra months over 10 years will not count towards the 6 months that must be remaining. The UK Government has published a website tool to check the validity of your passport under these rules: https://www.passport.service.gov.uk/check-a-passport

You can renew your passport online or by going to a Post Office with a Check and Send service: https://www.gov.uk/renew-adult-passport/renew

If your passport does not meet the criteria for third-country nationals, you may be denied entry to any of the Schengen area countries.
