Recommended Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Cape Town
Touch down in Cape Town for a warm welcome from a representative. Collect your rental car if hiring one, and get ready to hit the road. Take the opportunity to buy a local SIM card if you wish to have data for maps and Uber.
Get settled at your hotel, and head to the famous V&A Waterfront for a relaxed dinner in the oldest working harbour in South Africa.
Day 2: Visit the Cape of Good Hope
Further on, stop at iconic Boulder's Beach, home to the famous Cape Penguins - the only wild penguins found on the continent of Africa. Continue on to the Cape of Good Hope!
On the way back stop at Muizenberg Beach, famous for its pretty rainbow huts and known as a popular spot for local surfers.
Day 3: Discover Cape Town
Enjoy a free day to explore this vibrant city, where culture, music and history collide. Take a cable car up to the heights of Table Mountain, and visit Long Street for local flavours at lunch. Spend the afternoon on Clifton Beach, and admire the magical sunset from Signal Hill or Lion's Head.
Day 4: Robben Island
Take a trip to Robben Island, the location of Nelson Mandela's infamous inprisonment for 18 years, and now home to a museum detailing its dark history.
Day 5: Cape Town Vineyards
Take a trip to either Stellenbosch or Franschhoek, home to some of South Africa's most famous vineyards. Sample South African wines in some of the best wineries in the world.
Day 6: Whale watching in Hermanus
Experience the majesty of nature up-close as you head out on a boat to try and spot great Southern Right whales! Keep an eye out for dolphins, seals, and penguins.
