Discover the remarkable green lands and picturesque Berber villages of Dnassa – surrounded by olive, fig, walnut trees, quince, prune & almond plantations. At an altitude of 1,800 metres, the view is absolutely splendid – and in the winter months the snow-capped backdrop of the Atlas summits are a must-see. Delight in a refreshment stop in Amizmiz town. Continue to Anogal valley.
Visit Imi n Tala Sources and have lunch at a local's house. After lunch, continue on your 4x4 ride through a succession of typical villages along Amazigh Anougal Valley. This step will give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the rural life of the country, punctuated by the seasons and harvesting of wheat, barley and fruit trees daily. Late in the afternoon, arrive to Tnirt Village. Finish your experience with a typical Berber cooking class with Said and his family.
Dinner and overnight stay at Riad Benijja.
Day 3: Azgour - Imin dounite - Agafay Desert (breakfast & dinner)
Your breakfast will be served today on an open air terrace.
Head down the valley to visit the mining area in Azgour. Enjoy the scenic view of Toulkin plateau and Ardouz Mountain, which is part of the High Atlas mountain range. Stop here for panoramic photos before continuing deeply on pistes (unsurfaced) roads that lead you to more remote Berber communities and landscapes. Arrive to the village of Adaghas (2,000 m). There you will have lunch in a cosy, traditional tavern. The view is outstanding from here with many high peaks to be seen, including Toubkal, the highest peak of the High Atlas (4,167 metres).
After a lunch break while on route, this magical sinuous tour continues towards Imi-n-dounit village, passing by many villages on the way (such as Douzro, Tagadirt, Ighizaran, Ibardaten, Adassil, Mjdid, Maghossa, Irgan warshan).
Imi-n-dounit or the “Mouth of the Earth” really is the end of the road! From here an easy, short walk takes you down to a river’s edge and there you see it, the “Mouth of the Earth”, a steep sided, water-cut gorge. Using steppingstones and simple “bridges”, pass though this gorge and enter an area of awesome tranquillity. After some free time here, the tour continues for the Agafay desert. On the way, visit the village of Anbdour latly called “Titanic of the Atlas”. Arrive at the Agafay Desert.
Dinner and overnight stay at a luxury campsite.
Day 4: Agafay - Ait imour – Vallée Had Draa – Essaouira (breakfast & lunch)
After breakfast, you will leave the Agafay desert and take the track-road into the west side of Alhaouz plain, over some small rivers (oueds) – the only source of irrigation in the region, irrigating the wheat, barley crops, olive trees, apricots and oranges sprawled across local farms. Near these traditional irrigation systems, there are underground drains, of Saharan origin. It is an unmissable stop to immerse yourself with the rural life in the village Abaynou, popular for its sources of natural water, famous throughout Morocco and nown for its healing powers.
Continue your Safari drive along the arid and semidesert back land, CHYADMA. In this least dry area, much of the land is covered with thuja, rosemary and other low-water-demanding plants, such as argan.
Arrive in SIDI KAOUKI beach. Have lunch at a local restaurant serving a meal for the senses, where the ingredients are part of the daily landscape and from the local fishermen. After lunch, take a short stroll to Sidi Mbarek, a small Berber village south of Essaouira. Walk to the little cascade and visit the old Marabout (tomb of a Saint or wise man). Here, the convergence of a large sand dune, a small river, and an imposing rock splendidly frames a lovely bay. The stream brings some water (water level depends on the seasons/rain) into this very dry region to irrigate local fields. The landscape offers a rich display of green, blue and yellow colours.
Arrive in Essaouira in the afternoon and check in to your hotel. You will have the afternoon at your own leisure to explore Essaouira.
Overnight stay at Riad Almadina or similar.
Day 5 : Essaouira - Marrakech (breakfast & lunch)
After breakfast, pick up from your hotel and head back inland to the countryside surrounding Essaouira.
The first panorama stop will be at the Oued Ksob (oued means ‘river’ in local dialect) on the Atlantic coast, where you can marvel at the great views of the eucalyptus thuja forest surrounded by sand dunes - also a great spot for bird-watching as herons and other local fauna flock here throughout the day.
Our journey continues to the village of Ain el Hajar, the so-called “Gardens of Essaouira “, a lush, green oasis (tall palm trees encircle olive and pomegranate groves, which in turn give shade for onions, corn and other crops). You will take a short walk here, a gentle stroll before rejoining the road of Sidi Lmokhtar. Have lunch on route before returning to Marrakech.
Check in to your hotel. You will have the afternoon to spend how you wish and explore at your own pace.
Overnight stay at Riad Massai or Similar.

Visit the Museum “Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdallah the old Alaouite Sultan, the founder of the City", here, anthropology and art unite at this quaint refurbished museum of regional art in a traditional house showcasing weapons, instruments, carpets, and historical photos of Essaouira. Continue towards the Medina, a wonderful labyrinth of streets. This 18th mid-century fortified town was built with the principles of contemporary European military architecture in a North African context, where you have the opportunity to wander the ancient streets and imagine what life used to be like before. Explore the souks and the old caravanserai, full of local artists selling their crafts made of thuja wood, pottery, jewellery and more.
The last stop will be at the ramparts and places around the Scala where “the Game of Thrones season 3” was filmed (Astapor). Lunch will be served in a local restaurant.
Enjoy refreshments in the terrace café on the corniche (route) overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. This is a perfect opportunity to get away from the city rush.

Your Destinations —
Marrakech
Marrakech is the epicentre of culture in Morocco, thanks to its ancient Medina, lively souks, and historic monuments. Immerse yourself in the heady atmosphere, with snake charmers in the bustling Jemaa El Fna Square, peace and tranquillity at the Bahia Palace, or an onrush of colour and spices in the dense souks of the Medina.
While Marrakech preserves its centuries-old history at places such as the Koutoubia Mosque, the city's Bohemian atmosphere is most present in Jardin Majorelle, a landscaped botanical garden created by French artist Jacques Majorelle and later bought by Yves Saint-Laurent. Alternatively, visitors can escape the city altogether and take a trip to the Atlas Mountains to visit the region’s traditional Berber villages and argan oil cooperatives.
At the end of the day, Le Jardin Secret is the perfect place to enjoy a stylish meal in a chic Moroccan courtyard. Alternatively, retreat to one of the Medina’s rooftop restaurants for a delicious tagine while watching the sunset over the city mosques.
Essaouira
Bright and breezy, Essaouira is a port city on Morocco's Atlantic coast and provides a welcoming and laid-back alternative to heady Marrakech. The town's name means 'little picture' in Arabic, and a wonder through the spice-scented lanes and palm-lined avenues of Essaouira's glorious Medina will attest to its beauty. Beyond the lively port, you'll find rolling waves and a wide beach that complete the gorgeous setting.
