Your Itineraries

During their tour, our members will follow the itinerary as seen below. Whichever duration is chosen, our members will complete the first 3 days as follows.

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech (Dinner Included)
Upon arrival you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the hotel Marrakech by retreat or similar.

Marrakech is a city that spoils visitors for choice. While the souks and hammams, palaces and museums of this mighty destination are a wonderful draw, some of its less-frequented treasures may fall by the wayside. No less valuable to an all-round experience, this tour provides a mix of day trips and some things you might not think to do while in the city only (and just outside of it), from desert expeditions, to waterfall hikes, to traditional cooking classes.

Day 2: Marrakech - Asni - Ouirgane (Breakfast and Dinner Included)
After breakfast at the hotel you will be picked up from your hotel to head to the red trails where you start your Asni and Ouirgane day trip from Marrakech to see one of the most beautiful countrysides in Morocco and the lake that fills the floor. About an hour from Marrakech lies the magnificent green valley of Ourigane, hidden in the foothills of Mount Toubkal. You can visit the souk Asni or Moulay Brahim (Wednesday and Saturday) before taking the drive through the river gorges Gheghaia on the way to Asni, famous for amethyst, for a picnic lunch while enjoying the fabulous mountain scenery. Ouirgane is the peak of the mountains around at an altitude that levels up 2300 metres in some areas, and spreads over many kilometres. The Asni and Ouirgane Valley known as The Happy Valley with its amazing greenery, wild and flora, it is an ideal start point for trekking lovers. Dinner and overnight stay at Ksar Shama hotel.
Day 3: Ouirgane - Amizmiz - Anougal – Agafay Desert (Breakfast and Dinner Included)
After breakfast embark on an exceptional tour to the south side of High Atlas plateaux and Lake Takerkoust, Anogal Valley – 80 km South from Marrakech. Descend towards Valley Marigha valley the Kik Plateau continuing along Ouzguita Villages, dominated by the High Atlas chain. With a magnificent panorama of the Mount Toubkal massif, overlooking Marrakech and the Lalla Takerkoust dam in its centre. This area will open the door to the precarious conditions in which the Moroccan farming community lives in the region. Tiny villages, olive plantations and green vegetation lead to the Oued Nfiss Valley. Remarkable green lands to discover the picturesque Berber villages of Dnassa – surrounded by olive, fig, walnut trees, and quince, prune and almond plantations. At an altitude of 1800m, the view is absolutely splendid and in the winter months the snow-capped backdrop of the Atlas summits. Enjoy a refreshment stop in Amizmiz town before you continue to Anogal valley.

Visit Imi n Tala Sources and enjoy lunch at chez l’habitant. After lunch continue your 4x4 ride through a succession of typical villages along Amazigh Anougal Valley. This step will give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in this rural life, punctuated by the seasons, crop irrigation terraces seed and harvest of wheat, barley and fruit trees daily. In the afternoon you will arrive in Tnirt Village for a panoramic stop of Gorza peak. Head down the valley to visit the mining area in Azgour. Enjoy the scenic view of Toulkin plateaux and Ardouz Mountain, which is part of the High Atlas mountain range. Stop here again for panoramic photos before continuing on pistes (unsurfaced) roads that lead you to more remote Berber communities and landscapes. Then arrive into Agafay Desert. A sumptuous traditional meal in a tent full of carpets, soft lighting and desert trinkets, welcomes you after a long day. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the camp Marrakech Desert.

For the 3-night tour:
Day 4: Departure - Marrakech Airport
Enjoy breakfast before heading to Marrakech Airport for your departure flight home.

5-Night Tour

For both the 5-Night and 7-Night Tour our members will continue to follow this itinerary for days 4 & 5.

Late in the afternoon on day 3 of this tour, you will arrive into Tnirt Village. Finish your experience with a typical berber cooking class with Said and his family. Enjoy dinner and overnight at the Guest House Benijja.

Day 4: Tnirt – Azgour – Imi ndounit Gorges – Taskourt – Agafay (Breakfast and Dinner Included)
Your breakfast will be served today on open air terrace, unsual for city dwellers. The step of today is totally different than all places surrounding Marrakech, a very peaceful area not filled with pumping rivers of tourists, and it still has many hidden gems, makes visiting this part of Atlas an adventure instead of a tourist destination. At first glance when leaving Tnirt Village, the roads seems to be no more than a lost part of Moroccan history, but on closer inspection visitors will find wonderful attractions and natural - memorable sights to enjoy and remember. Head down the valley to visit the mining area in Azgour. Enjoy the scenic view of Toulkin plateaux and Ardouz Mountain, which is part of the High Atlas mountain range. Stop here for panoramic photos before continuing deeply on pistes (unsurfaced) roads that lead you to more remote Berber communities and landscapes. Arrive into the village Adaghas (2,000 m). There you will have lunch in a cosy, traditional auberge. The view is outstanding from here with many high peaks to be seen, including Toubkal, the highest peak of the High Atlas (4,167m).

After a lunch break on route, this magical sinuous tour continues towards Imi-n-dounit village, passing many villages on the way (such as Douzro, Tagadirt, Ighizaran, Ibardaten, Adassil, Mjdid, Maghossa, Irgan warshan). Depending on the season, many activities will be seen. Perhaps it will be the land being prepared and cultivated in October or the barley harvest taking place in May when busy Berber families (and patient donkeys) cut the brittle stalks by hand, gathering another’s year’s essential crop, a scene many centuries old. Imi-n-dounit or the “Mouth of the Earth” really is the end of the road! From here an easy, short walk takes you down to a river’s edge and there you see it, the “Mouth of the Earth”, a steep sided, water cut gorge. Using steppingstones and simple “bridges” you can pass though this gorge and enter an area of awesome tranquility. After some free time here, you will leave for Agafay desert. On the way visit the village of Anbdour latly called “Titanic of the Atlas”.Arriv to Agafay Desert. A sumptuous traditional meal in a tent full of carpets, soft lighting and desert trinkets, welcomes you after a long day. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the camp Marrakech Desert.
Day 5: Agafay – Marrakech (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
Enjoy an early morning stroll before breakfast to enjoy sunrise among the Hills of Agafay and Atlas Mountains (optional). Explore the desert of Marrakech in a combo tour of Camel riding and quad biking. Begin with a drive to the edge of the desert. Run through a quick safety briefing and then motor out with your guide into the desert landscape.

Enjoy tackling soft trails, hard trails and rocky ravines with ease. Ride up and over hills as your quad bike conquers the terrain. Midway through your tour, quench your thirst as you take a break from your exhilarating ride and a cup of Moroccan fresh tea and a snack with a local family. Continue your ride and absorb the serenity of the open desert and take in far-reaching views of the Atlas Mountains from down this time and the rugged surroundings, which provide a fascinating backdrop and a great photo opportunity. Next make your way to a camel caravan, and continue experience the beauty of the landscape from the back of one of the “ships of the desert” for about 60 minutes. Before, going back to a Bedouin-style tent for a traditional Moroccan Barbecue lunch. Pick from the camp in Agafay and transfer to your hotel in Marrakech, completing the end of your Safari experience. The afternoon is then free, at leisure. Overnight stay at the Riad Laora or similar.

For the 5-night tour:

Day 6: Departure - Marrakech Airport
Enjoy breakfast at the riad before heading to Marrakech Airport for your departure flight home.

7-Night Tour

Members who opt for the 7-Night Tour will continue to follow this itinerary from day 6.

Day 5: Marrakech (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Meet your guide at your hotel and enjoy a sightseeing tour in the old Medina, during which you will see the Koutoubia Garden that extends on a green and flourishing surface around the koutoubia Tower. Experience the grand Bahia Palace, which when built was acclaimed as the world’s most beautiful palace, famed for its 50 marble columns. One of the world’s finest examples of Moorish architecture, where classic archways are covered in gold leaf and stucco work. Continue your walk through labyrinth tiny alleyways in the medina teeming with activity like few places in the world; see a traditional public oven, and fountains. See a foudouk “Old Caravan Serai” used in the last centuries as a store market of the caravans landing to Marrakech from Tomboctou and sub-saharian countries. This is so perfect, it could be – and often is – used as a film set.

You will also visit the famous souks or covered markets, where immensely skilled craftsmen create intricate leather ware, jewelries and furniture. Lunch will be served in typical Moroccan Restaurant. After Lunch take a walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa, Marrakech’s main square, for a tea or fresh orange juice and to see how the square comes alive beginning in the afternoon. Overnight stay at the Riad Laora or similar.

Day 7: Marrakech (Breakfast and Dinner Included)
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy the morning at leisure. You will be picked-up from your riad at around 17h00, to enjoy a relaxing Hammam. First visit the traditional Moroccan hammam, built with elegant Tadellakt and Mosaic in a style that became an icon of the moroccan culture over many centuries. Wear your swim suits and head to the steam room in order to get rid of toxins and closely heat the body so the skin pores will open. Then time for your body scrub by an experienced Kessal. A skilled massage therapist will attend you with Argan Oil and expert techniques to bring out your natural glow. Try the moisturizing massage amid the hot, steamy air, where mild perspiration offers a healthy and agreeable form of relaxation.

In the evening, and close to Jamaa Elfna square make you will make your way to old Medina again and to one of the typical Moroccan restaurant terraces. Enjoy a variety of Moroccan specialties including salads, briouates (savory filo pastries) and 2 tagines (meatball or chicken or beef, and vegetable). Finish with some Moroccan pastries, paired with mint tea. Moroccan wines are also available for you to order directly from the restaurant’s menu. During the evening, listen to a Moroccan duo play oud and tam-tam and watch an exotic belly-dancing performance. At the end of this evening you will be dropped off at your riad.
