Your Itinerary In Detail —
DAY 1: UK - CANCUN
Welcome to Mexico! After collecting your luggage, make your way to the exit where a representative will be waiting to meet and greet you. Transfer to your located hotel, and get into a holiday frame of mind for your first night in Cancún, with plenty of nearby drinking and dining options.
Stay overnight at La Quinta Inn by Wyndham 4* or similar.
DAY 2: CANCÚN - VALLADOLID - CHICHEN ITZA - MERIDA
At the appointed time, your driver will pick you up to begin the adventure. You will start by visiting the colonial village of Valladolid, in the state of Yucatán. Enjoy the local specialities, visit the market and the main cathedral. The city is considered to be one of the "magic cities" of Mexico. Nearby, you may find cenotes open to visitors, so don't miss the chance to cool off with a swim.
When you arrive at Chichén Itzá, go straight to the ticket office for your tickets. Ask for a certified local guide, who can give you a tour in English. Chichen Itza is one of the most visited archaeological sites in Mexico, with over 2.6 million tourists per year. The site has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988 and is also considered one of the seven wonders of the modern world.
On the way back, ask your driver to make a quick stop in Izamal, the 'yellow city'. Next you will find the capital of the state of Yucatán, Mérida. Mérida was founded in 1542 by Montejo y León ("el Mozo") and is named after the city of Mérida in Extremadura, Spain.
For a brief period at the turn of the 20th century, Mérida was considered the city with the highest number of millionaires in the world. The result of this concentration of wealth is still visible today. Many large, elaborate houses still line the main avenue called Paseo de Montejo, although few are occupied today by individual families. Many of these houses have been restored and are now used as office buildings for banks and insurance companies. Your hotel is located in the city centre, so you don't need transport to enjoy a late afternoon stroll through the city.
DAY 3: MERIDA - UXMAL - MERIDA
We advise you to take to the road early in order to reach Uxmal as soon as possible (to beat the heat and the crowds). Uxmal is an ancient Mayan city from the classical period, located in present day Mexico. It is considered one of the most important archaeological sites of the Mayan culture, located in the Puuc region of the eastern Yucatán Peninsula, and is considered one of the most representative Mayan cities of the dominant architectural style in the region. It has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in recognition of its importance. Nearby you can also find Kabah, another Puuc-style archaeological site to visit. Next to Uxmal, there are a few restaurants for lunch and also a cocoa museum, which is also worth a visit.
DAY 4: MERIDA - TULUM
From Mérida, you will return to the Maya Riviera via another famous site, called Tulúm. You will discover the ruins that are located on 12 metre high cliffs along the eastern coast of the Yucatán Peninsula on the Caribbean Sea, in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico.
Tulum was one of the last cities built and inhabited by the Maya; it was at its peak between the 13th and 15th centuries and managed to survive about 70 years after the Spanish began occupying Mexico.
We conclude our services with a stop at your hotel on the Maya Riviera.

Merida
Merida is the vibrant capital of the Yucatán state, rich with Mayan and colonial heritage. The city has a main plaza called the Plaza de la Independencia which is next to the Merida Cathedral and the Iglesia de la Tercera Orden, both constructed with Mayan ruins and a must-see when visiting. The city's biggest draw is its gastronomy. There are several markets throughout the city where not only chefs go to buy their local produce, but you can as well - try the fruits and vegetables with a sprinkle of the local chilli powder!
Close to the city, you can find many famous archaeological sites such as the Chichen Itza, a 7th wonder of the world and well-preserved Mayan pyramid as well as the UNESCO-listed Mayan ruin the Uxmal. Merida is close enough that it makes a perfect base for exploring the Yucatán region.
