The second-largest city in Croatia, Split is a great place to see Dalmatian life as it’s really lived. Always buzzing, this exuberant city has just the right balance of tradition and modernity. The old Mediterranean port of Kotor Bay, Montenegro is remarkable for its wonderful coastal scenery and the many pretty villages and towns that dot the shore line. Long before it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, the Bay has been a magnet for sailors, traders and sightseers alike.
Athens brought the world drama, history, poetry, and philosophy. Once home to the world’s most powerful and civilized empires, Athens is now the world’s foremost archaeological playground. The towering columns of the Parthenon still stand in homage to the virgin goddess Athena.
Soak up some warm rays on any one of the many sun-carpeted red, white or black sandy beaches and discover a little taverna, serving deliciously fresh seafood, hidden away by a beautiful cove. Sip on a refreshing beverage and enjoy a panoramic view of the sun set over the white-washed villages and the deep blue Aegean sea beyond.
