Your 8-Night Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Delhi 
Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be transferred to your hotel where you can unwind after your flight.

Day 2: Delhi
After breakfast, depart to Old Delhi for a day of visits. You will see The Red Fort, Jama Masjid one of the largest mosques in the world, Chandni Chowk the shopping district and heart of the old city, the Raj Ghat where was cremated Mahatma Gandhi. In the afternoon you'll discover New Delhi starting with a visit the Qutub Minar, , an extraordinary minaret built in 1199, the largest minaret in the world (72.55 m) where we find the reproduction of verses of the Quran on each of the first three floors built in red sandstone. You will then visit the Government Buildings, Gateway to India and Connaught Square. Return to the hotel.

Day 3:  Delhi - Udaipur
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Take a transfer to the airport to take flight to Udaipur. Udaipur is the historical capital of the kingdom of Mewar Rajputana. Mewar Province became part of Rajasthan after India's independence. On arrival transfer to the hotel for check-in. Night at the hotel.
Day 4: Udaipur
Start with breakfast at the hotel then visit Udaipur. Commencing with the City Palace, see this complex of several palaces built in 1559 to be the main palace of the Sisodia Rajput dynasty. It is located atop a hill on the eastern shore of Lake Pichola. Its architecture is a mix of Rajput and Mughal styles and offers a magnificent panorama of the lake and its islands, as well as the Lake Palace.

Next is Sahelion-ki-bari, a garden with fountains, kiosks, a lotus basin and marble elephants. His name means garden of virgins. Finally, visit the Jagdish Temple which dates from 1651 and is dedicated to Vishnu, the savior of the Universe. It is considered the largest temple in the city. It features carved pillars, decorated ceilings and rooms, and painted walls, and the main temple's (shikhar) spire is 24 metres high, and is richly decorated.

You will then take a boat trip on Lake Pichola depending on the water level. Night at the hotel.

Day 5: Udaipur - Pushkar - Jaipur
Breakfast at the hotel. Road to Jaipur (the pink city in Rajput, pink colour symbolized hospitality), capital of Rajasthan. In-road visit the Pushkar including Brahma Temple & Pushkar Lake. Continue to Jaipur & check-in at the hotel.

Day 6: Jaipur
Breakfast at the hotel. Discovery of Jaipur. Stop in front of the "Hawa Mahal" wind palace, Baroque facade, architecture both fanciful and functional that allowed the women of the courtyard to contemplate the spectacle of the street away from prying eyes. Continuation with a trip to Amber Fort, home of the Maharajahs and always ready for war. Seeing the defense forts surrounding the place, you can imagine the power of the character. Ride to the ramparts by 4x4. Visit the Palace with its rooms with mirrors and the old harem, a maze.

You will then have the opportunity to attend Puja at Kali Temple. Puja is the time of prayers according to Hindu rites. One can enter the temple only barefoot and without leather goods on oneself. Visit of the astronomical observatory "Jantar Mantar", the witness of the passion of Maharaja Jaisingh Ii for astronomy. He built several observatories including that of Jaipur (1728-33).

These monumental instruments make it possible to read the latitudes, longitudes and the distances between the celestial bodies, the hour corresponding to the meridian of Jaipur. Rickshaw (rickshaw) ride through the old city. Night at the chosen hotel.

Day 7: Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
Have breakfast at the hotel then depart to Agra. En-route stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the former capital of the time of the Mughal Emperor Akbar. Architecture more baroque than the Red Fort, this capital was abandoned a few years after its construction. Resulting from the synthesis of various styles, Indo-Muslim and Hindu, it is one of the most spectacular sites. Visit: The Great Mosque, with the tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti, The Jewel House also named Diwan-I-Khas (Hall of Hearings) containing the pillar of Akbar Continue for Agra. Arrival and installation at the hotel. Night at the hotel.
Day 8: Agra - Delhi
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before visiting the famous Taj Mahal. This moving Mughal Mausoleum is the tourist emblem of India. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan, in memory of his second wife Mumtaz Mahal. His death in childbirth in 1631 broke the heart of the emperor, whose hair turned gray in one night. The construction of the Taj Mahal was undertaken the same year to be completed in 1653. The workers, 20,000 in all, were recruited throughout India and Central Asia. The principal architect would have been Isa Khan, from Shiraz (Iran). European experts were also brought in: Austin from Bordeaux and Verono from Venice took part in the decoration. Later, visit the Agra Fort. Afternoon departure to Delhi. Arrival in Delhi and check in at the hotel. Night at the hotel.

Day 9: Depart from Delhi - Flight
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to catch your return flight.

Similar to the 8-night itinerary but with a visit to the blue city of Jodhpur on Day 3.

Day 1: Arrive into Delhi

Day 2: Delhi

Day 3: Delhi - Jodhpur
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to take a flight to Jodhpur. Upon arrival, head to the hotel in Jodhpur. In the afternoon, visit of Jodhpur, also called "the blue city" because of the coating of its houses. In the heart of the desert, this city nestles a huge, dark red sandstone fortress. Jodhpur appears as a comforting oasis for the traveller who has just crossed the Thar desert. 

The old town is surrounded by a wall with seven gates, which was erected around the middle of the sixteenth century on a perimeter of nearly 10 km, which also protects the sand. Visit the beautiful Mehrangarh Fort, named after its current owner, the Jodhpur maharajah. Built on top of a hill overlooking the city, it opens with a succession of seven monumental gates. On one of the Iohapols, iron gates, you will discover the handprints of the widows of Maharaja Man Singh, who immolated themselves on his funeral pyre in 1843. 

You can discover many courtyards, surrounded by palaces with carved facades. The fort's museum contains palanquins, pods used for elephant travel, weapons, swords, swords, daggers, small guns. Many rooms contain collections of miniatures, the Takhat Mahal Hall is entirely decorated with mirrors and paintings, with colourful glass balls hanging from the ceiling and the "Jankhi Mahal" contains an astonishing collection of royal cradles. Visit Jaswant Thada, the royal mausoleum in white marble of Maharajah Singh II, built in 1899. Night at the hotel.
Day 4:  Jodhpur - Udaipur
Drive to Udaipur, with a stop en route to Ranakpur to visit Jains temples (open from 12h00 to 16h00 - the guide will not be able to enter inside the temples, but an audio guide will be at the disposal of the customers).

The Ranakpur Temples, dating from the 15th century, are recognised worldwide for their beautiful and complex architecture. They are one of the five great pilgrimages of the Jains, located about 95 km north of Udaipur. Continue to Udaipur and check in at the hotel on arrival. Udaipur is the historical capital of the kingdom of Mewar Rajputana. Mewar Province became part of Rajasthan after India's independence. Night at the hotel.

Day 5: Udaipur
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Udaipur in the morning - City Palace, Sahelion-ki-bari (Bridesmaids Garden) and Jagdish Temple. The City Palace is a complex of several palaces built in 1559 to be the main palace of the Sisodia Rajput dynasty. It is located atop a hill on the eastern shore of Lake Pichola. Breakfast at the hotel. Hit the road to Jaipur (the pink city in Rajput, pink color symbolized hospitality), capital of Rajasthan. Thus, the city was drawn in a square, surrounded by walls pierced with 9 doors, and divided into 9 quarters each of which had a specific function. Arrival and installation at the hotel in Jaipur. Entry Requirements 

You must ensure you have a valid passport to travel on. 

You’ll need to get a visa before travelling to India. You can find further information about how to apply on the Indian High Commission website.

From 1 April 2017, the length of stay on an e-visa has been increased from 30 days to 60 days with double entry on tourist and business e-visa and triple entry on medical e-visa. The 60 days start on the date of your first entry into India on your e-visa.

Holders of passports endorsed ‘British citizen’ who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for a double entry e-Tourist Visa (e-TV) to enter India at certain designated airports. You can find more information about the eligibility criteria on the government of India’s e-Tourist Visa website

India’s Bureau of Immigration has announced that with immediate effect, foreign nationals who arrive at an Indian port holding non-machine readable passports will be denied entry. 

To transit through India you will need a transit visa. You can find more information on the Indian Immigration Bureau website.

All applicants of Pakistani origin who hold dual British-Pakistan nationality must apply for an Indian visa on their Pakistan passport. Those who have either renounced Pakistani nationality or cancelled their Pakistani passport would need to submit documentary proof of this.

Mosquito-borne diseases like Dengue Fever occur all year round. There’s been an increase in the number of cases of dengue fever, including in New Delhi.

Cases of Chikungunya Virus have been confirmed in India, including in New Delhi. You should take steps to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes.


For psychiatric illness, specialised treatment may not be available outside major cities.
