8-Night Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be met and transferred to the hotel to check-in and enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 2: Delhi
After breakfast, depart on a visit of Old Delhi. You will see The Red Fort, Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in the world, Chandni Chowk, the shopping district and heart of the old city, and the Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Then, discover New Delhi! Visit the Qutub Minar, an extraordinary minaret built in 1199, the largest minaret in the world (72.55 m) where you will find the reproduction of verses of the Quran on each of the first three floors built in red sandstone. You will also visit government buildings, the Gateway to India, and Connaught Square before spending a night at the hotel.

Day 3: Delhi - Udaipur
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport to take a flight to Udaipur. Udaipur is the historical capital of the kingdom of Mewar Rajputana. Mewar Province became part of Rajasthan after India's independence. On arrival, transfer to the hotel to check-in and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 4: Udaipur
Start with breakfast at the hotel, and then visit Udaipur. Commencing with the City Palace, see this complex of several palaces built in 1559 to be the main palace of the Sisodia Rajput dynasty. It is located atop a hill on the eastern shore of Lake Pichola. Its architecture is a mix of Rajput and Mughal styles and offers a magnificent panorama of the lake and its islands, as well as the Lake Palace. Next is Sahelion-ki-bari, a garden with fountains, kiosks, a lotus basin and marble elephants. The name means garden of virgins. Finally, visit the Jagdish Temple which dates from 1651 and is dedicated to Vishnu, the savior of the Universe. It is considered the largest temple in the city. It features carved pillars, decorated ceilings and rooms, and painted walls, and the main temple's (shikhar) spire is 24 metres high, and is richly decorated. You will then take a boat trip on Lake Pichola depending on the water level before spending a night at the hotel.

Day 5: Udaipur - Pushkar - Jaipur
After breakfast at the hotel, take the road to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. On the way, visit Pushkar including the Brahma Temple and Pushkar Lake. Continue to Jaipur and check-in at the hotel. Jaipur was built in the sixteenth century by Maharaja Jaisingh Ji from the ideal plan outlined in the Hindu Arthashasthra for which the city must be the picture of the cosmos and reflect in the population distribution, the social order of varna and castes. Thus, the city was drawn in a square, surrounded by walls pierced with 9 doors, and divided into 9 quarters each of which had a specific function. Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel and enjoy free time in the market or exploring the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6: Jaipur
After breakfast at the hotel, head out to discover Jaipur. Stop in front of the "Hawa Mahal" wind palace and enjoy its fanciful and functional architecture that allowed the women of the courtyard to contemplate the spectacle of the street away from prying eyes. Continue with a trip to the Amber Fort, the home of the Maharajahs. See the defense forts surrounding the place, and stroll around the palace admiring its finery. You will then have the opportunity to attend the Puja at Kali Temple. Puja is the time of prayers according to Hindu rites. One can only enter the temple barefoot and without leather goods. Visit the astronomical observatory "Jantar Mantar", and witness the passion that Maharaja Jaisingh Ii had for astronomy. He built several observatories including that of Jaipur (1728-33). These monumental instruments make it possible to read the latitudes, longitudes and the distances between the celestial bodies, with the hour corresponding to the meridian of Jaipur. Then, take a rickshaw ride through the old city before spending the night at the hotel.

Day 7: Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
Have breakfast at the hotel and then depart to Agra. En-route stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the former capital of the time of the Mughal Emperor Akbar. Here, the architecture is more baroque than the Red Fort, as this capital was abandoned a few years after its construction. Visit The Great Mosque, with the tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti, The Jewel House also named Diwan-I-Khas (Hall of Hearings) containing the pillar of Akbar Continue for Agra. Arrive at the hotel and check-in for an overnight stay.
Day 8: Agra - Delhi
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before visiting the famous Taj Mahal. This moving Mughal Mausoleum is the tourist emblem of India. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan, in memory of his second wife Mumtaz Mahal. Her death in childbirth in 1631 broke the heart of the emperor, whose hair turned gray in one night. The construction of the Taj Mahal was undertaken the same year to be completed in 1653. The workers, 20,000 in all, were recruited throughout India and Central Asia. The principal architect would have been Isa Khan, from Shiraz (Iran). European experts were also brought in: Austin from Bordeaux and Verono from Venice took part in the decoration. Later, visit the Agra Fort. In the afternoon, head to Delhi where you can check-in at the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 9: Depart from Delhi
After breakfast at the hotel, take a transfer to the airport to catch your return flight.

End of Services.

Day 3: Delhi - Jodhpur
After breakfast at the hotel, take a transfer to the airport to take a flight to Jodhpur. Upon arrival, head to the hotel in Jodhpur. In the afternoon, discover Jodhpur, also called "the blue city" because of the coating of its houses. In the heart of the desert, this city nestles a huge, dark red sandstone fortress. Jodhpur appears as a comforting oasis for the traveller who has just crossed the Thar desert. The old town is surrounded by a wall with seven gates, which was erected around the middle of the sixteenth century on a perimeter of nearly 10 km, which also protects the sand. Visit the beautiful Mehrangarh Fort, named after its current owner, the Jodhpur maharajah. Built on top of a hill overlooking the city, it opens with a succession of seven monumental gates. On one of the Iohapols, iron gates, you will discover the handprints of the widows of Maharaja Man Singh, who immolated themselves on his funeral pyre in 1843. You can discover many courtyards, surrounded by palaces with carved facades. The fort's museum contains palanquins, pods used for elephant travel, weapons, swords, swords, daggers, small guns. Many rooms contain collections of miniatures, the Takhat Mahal Hall is entirely decorated with mirrors and paintings, with colourful glass balls hanging from the ceiling and the "Jankhi Mahal" contains an astonishing collection of royal cradles. Visit Jaswant Thada, the royal mausoleum in white marble of Maharajah Singh II, built in 1899, before spending a night at the hotel.
Day 4: Jodhpur - Delhi
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Udaipur, and stop en-route in Ranakpur to visit the Jains temples (open from 12-4pm - the guide will not be able to enter inside the temples, but an audio guide will be at the disposal of the customers). The Ranakpur Temples date from the 15th century, and are recognised worldwide for their beautiful and complex architecture. They are one of the five great pilgrimages of the Jains. They are located about 95km north of Udaipur. Afterwards, continue to Udaipur and check in at the hotel on arrival. Udaipur is the historical capital of the kingdom of Mewar Rajputan.
