It is also worth visiting the Fishermen’s Bastion that was built in 1905. From its top, you'll find the best panoramic views of Budapest. Finally, you must pay a visit to the neo-gothic style Matthias Church, which was rebuilt by Frigyes Schulek at the turn of the century.
The city also boasts a wealth of cobbled squares and museums where you will be able to discover its rich history full of Austrian, Hungarian and Czech influences. Bratislava is a must-see destination for history and culture lovers.

Your Cruise Itinerary —
During their tour, our members will follow the itinerary as seen below.
Board the MS Crucestar cruise at the river port after 16:00 (Nussdorf region). Accommodation in the cabins and overnight stay.
Day 2: Vienna
After breakfast, guests may choose to embark on an optional panoramic tour of the most important sights of the Austrian capital: the Opera House, the Town Hall, the Parliament, the Burgtheater and the magnificent imperial Hofburg Palace. In the afternoon, enjoy the city at your own pace or join a new optional excursion to Schönbrunn Palace, the summer residence of the Imperial House of Austria, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At night, the ship will leave the Austrian capital to take the direction of Melk. Overnight stay on board.
Day 3: Melk / Durnstein
Today you will reach Melk, a small town in the heart of the impressive Wachau Valley. It is known worldwide for the Benedictine abbey located at the top of a rock overlooking the river. At noon, the boat heads to Dürnstein where you will arrive after lunch. Dürnstein is a charming village in the heart of the winding Wachau valley with a medieval castle. From the pier, you can walk directly to the historic centre of the city, passing through the medieval gates of the city and reaching Pranger Square. From there, a beautiful view opens onto the ruins of the castle, famous for being the place where would have been imprisoned Ricardo Corazon de Leon. In the afternoon, enjoy the scenery offered by the beautiful Wachau Valley as you sail to Budapest. Overnight stay on board.
Day 5: Budapest
The mighty Danube divides Budapest into two parts: the traditional "Buda" and the cosmopolitan "Pest". Optional guided tour of the main sites of the Hungarian capital: the Parliament, the Opera House, the Heroes Square, the market, the Chain Bridge and the Fishermen's Bastion with spectacular views of the city. Enjoy a night on board. Please note that between 23:00 and 01:00, the ship will perform maneuvers. Departure for Esztergom at 04:00.
Day 6: Esztergom
Early in the morning the cruise will arrive at Esztergom, the old Hungarian capital. It is a small town of 28,000 inhabitants about 45 kilometres from Budapest. It is famous for hosting the largest basilica in the country (larger than San Esteban, in the capital), 118 meters high and 49 meters wide, whose construction lasted 47 years. It opened in 1869. It is currently the seat of the Catholic Church in Hungary. Esztergom was the capital of Hungary between the 10th and 13th century, before passing to Buda. At the beginning of the afternoon, the ship embarks for Bratislava. Overnight stay on board.
