Vienna

Transport yourself to the Imperial city of Vienna and be scooped up by its grandeur as you walk through its majestic streets. This is the City of Music and has been home to Mozart, Haydn, Schubert, Beethoven and Johann Strauss (both father and son) to name but a few; there could be no better place to watch a jaw-dropping classical music performance than in the lavish Staatsoper. 

Melk/Durnstein

Delve into the heart of the Wachau wine region where you will find Dürnstein which is known for its baroque blue Stiftskirche. A particular highlight is Melk's magnificent 11th century Benedictine Abbey, one of Europe's largest monasteries. The Abbey houses an ornate library with over 80,000 printed books and 2,000 manuscripts. Words can not describe the splendour of the church with its frescoed ceilings, stunning altar and marble statues.

Budapest

Budapest is exquisitely situated on both sides of the Danube with Buda and Pest, claiming one of the most spectacular panoramic views in Europe. Budapest’s Castle District abounds in great attractions. The Royal Palace is situated on the southern part of Castle Hill. Today it is home to important cultural institutions and museums such as the Hungarian National Gallery, the Ludwig Museum (Museum of Contemporary Art) and the Budapest Historical Museum. 

It is also worth visiting the Fishermen’s Bastion that was built in 1905. From its top, you'll find the best panoramic views of Budapest. 

Finally, you must pay a visit to the neo-gothic style Matthias Church, which was rebuilt by Frigyes Schulek at the turn of the century.

Esztergom

As you only have one day in Esztergom, a trip to the city's basilica is an absolute must as it provides an incredible view of the surrounding countryside and the Danube that cuts through it. This picturesque town is packed with historic attractions and cute cafes.

Bratislava

This historic place - which borders Austria and Hungary - makes for the perfect destination for keen hikers and walkers, with its many mountainous national parks set along the north bank of the famous Danube river and its pedestrianised old town. Bratislava is also renowned for its impressive, charming and colourful little streets, baroque churches, authentic shops, and old town atmosphere.

The city also boasts a wealth of cobbled squares and museums where you will be able to discover its rich history full of Austrian, Hungarian and Czech influences. Bratislava is a must-see destination for history and culture lovers.

Your Ship —

You will spend 7 nights on the MS Fidelio on a Full Board Basis (Breakfast, lunch and evening meal served in the main restaurant - includes water at breakfast and tea/coffee at lunch & dinner). There is also a Captain's farewell dinner and an afternoon snack (depending on itinerary).

Those staying over New Year or Christmas will enjoy a gala dinner with a glass of wine.

Sail down the Danube on board an intimate ship which features a restaurant, 3 bars, a sauna (which you will have complimentary access to), a jacuzzi, a fitness area and swimming pool - among others! There is live music at the bar every night.

You may choose from a Lower Deck, Middle Deck or Upper Deck Cabin.

While all outside cabins feature windows, those on the middle and upper decks have larger windows to help capture the view gliding past your window. Each spacious cabin is comfortable with private facilities, shower and tasteful furnishings. Individual air-conditioning control, satellite TV, hairdryer, telephone, double or two single beds, dressing table and roomy wardrobe are all staples.
