- Valley of the Kings: Step into the resting place of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs, where richly decorated tombs reveal dazzling scenes of the afterlife, including the famous tomb of Tutankhamun.

Good to know:
Luxor is best explored at a slower pace, with most sights divided between the East and West Banks of the Nile. The Egyptian pound (EGP) is the local currency, and cash is handy for souks and smaller cafés. Summers are extremely hot, so the cooler months from October to April are ideal for sightseeing.
