Your Destination —
By contrast, Ho Chi Minh City is famous around the world for its key role in the Vietnam war. Otherwise known as Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City is in the south of Vietnam and has amazingly well preserved French colonial architecture, which is a key pull for visitors on Vietnamese tours. Must-sees included the Notre Dame Basilica, which was constructed entirely from materials imported from France, and Saigon’s central post office. Like Hanoi, travellers must sample Vietnamese cuisine on the excellent food stalls in the bustling Ben Thanh Market.
