01 Arrival Kathmandu
Our Guide will be meeting you upon arrival at the Kathmandu International airport, to warmly greet you and transfer to the Hotel.
02 Sightseeing in Kathmandu- Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath and Patan Durbar Square
After Breakfast we start sightseeing in the following destinations:
Pasupatinath Temple- Pashupatinath is the biggest shrine of Lord Shiva in Nepal and is the most scared temple for Hindus all over the world. The present structure is not very old but the site of Pasupatinath has been holy since last 2000 years. The cremation site beside the temple is a unique site for visitors as you see the burning of the dead bodies is interesting but not a pleasant site. The holy men with all kinds of makeup and ashes all over the bodies are also central attraction besides the Pasupatinath temple and the Holy river Bagmati.
Boudhanath Stupa- Boudhanath Stupa is also known as the Little Tibet in Kathmandu as more than 50 thousand Tibetan refugees took refuge in Boudhanath area after the Chinese invasion of Tibet in 1949. This is a spiritual place with the two eyes of Buddha conveying the message of peace to you. Make sure you go through the Thanka painting galleries around the area to better understand the concept of Tibetan Buddhism and its practices.
Patan Durbar Square: Patan is also known as The City of Fine Arts. Patan Durbar Square is one of the places in the Kathmandu Valley where the medieval arts and architecture still remain in its original state. The Durbar Square is full of ancient places, temples and shrines, noted for their exquisite carvings, mostly the Hindu and Buddhist monuments. Similarly, the medieval town of Bhaktapur, or the Town of the Devotees, preserves medieval arts, architecture, culture, and lifestyle to this date. One is sure to feel like traveling back into the past while walking along the Bhaktapur thoroughfares, squares and streets
03 Sightseeing of Bhaktapur and Changunarayanand Drive to Nagarkot and Overnight in Nagarkot
We start our tour driving to the Bhakapur then Changunarayan and reaching Nagarkot to explore the following sights , including :
Bhaktapur Durbar Square - Bhaktapur is on the eastern side of the Kathmandu city and is also referred as the city of Devotees and the fact is justified by hundreds of temples in the area. The home to the vibrant Newari culture, this is also the city of festivals. The 55 windows palace, the tallest pagoda in Nepal, the Pottery square and the museums in Bhaktapur has made it the best palace area in Nepal and also a must visit place in Nepal when you are here. The entrance fee 15 USD is a bit on the higher side but once you go in the Bhaktapur Durbar Square you will be happy for the price you have paid.
Changu Narayan - The ancient Hindu temple of Changu Narayan is located on a high hilltop that is also known as Changu or Dolagiri. The temple was surrounded by forest with champak tree and a small village, known as Changu Village. The temple is located in Changunarayan VDC of Bhaktapur District, Nepal. This hill is about 8 miles east of Kathmandu and a few miles north of Bhaktapur. The Manahara River flows beside the hill. This shrine is dedicated to Lord Visnu and held in especial reverence by the Hindu people. This temple is considered as the oldest temple in Nepal.
Nagarkot - Nagarkot is situated at 2100m from sea level and is famous for the sunset and sunrise view. It is 32 km away from Kathmandu city and is a one night destination for hikers and trekkers as well as people who love to see mountains from distance, from the hotel room or with a beer or coffee in hand. The drive is also very interesting as it winds through the swirling road from Bhaktapur. You can see the Langtang Lirung, Annapurna 2nd, Ganesh Himal range and also Everest on a very clear day.
04 Drive to Bandipur and Overnight at Bandipur
Bandipur- is the ancient Newari mountain town. It is a treasure waiting to be discovered by travelers. Situated 7 kilometers above Dumbre Bazaar at an altitude of 1,005 meters, this ancient trading post lies cradled in the saddle of some of the country's most peculiar-shaped hills. Untouched by modernization, and laced with an abundance of ancient houses, temples of great significance, and historical architecture, this medieval-era town boasts of festivals all year around besides offering a plethora of cultures.
05 Morning local excursion and Drive to Pokhara. Evening at leisure.
In the early morning we start the day with the excursion in the Bandipur village and then have a breakfast. We then depart for Pokhara and commence a half day sightseeing of Pokhara, the most popular destination in Nepal after Kathmandu. You can spend enjoyably the morning trip along the bank of Phewa Lake and admire the stunning view of the Fish Tail's Peak reflected in the silver surface of the water. You can also see the wonderful Annapurna panorama forms a superb backdrop to Pokhara from the lake.
Afternoon, enjoy boating in Fewa Lake and then hike to World Peace Pagoda. After absorbing the freshness of the environment after hiking, we retrace back to the place where we disembark the boat. Get on the boat and row back to the hotel side. Overnight at selected Hotel – Pokhara.
06 Sightseeing - Mahendra Cave, Davis Fall and World Peace Pagoda, boating on Phewa Lake (1 hr)
We get up early in the morning to see the best mountains view of Himalayas ranges and sunrise. The sunrise view presents you the ever-refreshing memory of the majestic panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges. You can enjoy Pokhara city tour. The places you may enjoy are David Fall, Cave and Bitabasini temple.
Drive back to hotel and retire to your own room.
07 After breakfast transfer to airport and Fly back to Kathmandu. Rest of the day at leisure.
Farewell Dinner with cultural program show in the evening.
In the late afternoon, we visit Kathmandu Durbar Square. Kathmandu Durbar Square lies in the center of the Kathmandu valley and has some of the most interesting monuments in Nepal. The Kasthamandap, the building from which Kathmandu derived its name, the Kumari Ghar, the House of the Living goddess Kumari, the Taleju temple and the most interesting the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, now a museum are some of the interesting buildings in Kathmandu Durbar Square. Besides that the program of different kinds and gathering of people from all over Nepal makes it a lively place and the best place to understand Nepal.
08 Transfer to airport and Depart Kathmandu
