Your Destination —
Zanzibar Town, on the western side of the island is the main settlement, the best-known part of which is Stone Town. Directly east of Stone Town is the growing section of Ng'ambo whilst to the north of the town are a number of pristine beaches. At the northern tip of the island is the dhow-building centre and tourist resort of Nungwi, whilst some of Zanzibar's best beaches are to be found along the eastern shore.
Stone Town is the oldest section of Zanzibar Town and is made up of a labyrinth of winding lanes, ancient stone houses, Arabian arches, heavy carved wooden doors, circular towers, narrow latticed windows, overhanging balconies and a fascinating selection of bazaars, curio shops, art galleries and spice troves.

Ocean Paradise Resort Zanzibar features three restaurants that offer superb cuisine, using only the best in local and imported produce.
The Ocean Restaurant, sitting two floors up, has panoramic views over the resort and the Indian Ocean beyond. The Restaurant serves a sumptuous breakfast with an array of freshly baked breads, croissants and Danish pastries, cereals, fresh squeezed juices, local fruits, cold cuts and cheeses and of course, traditional cooked dishes.
Down at the pool, the Jahazi Restaurant serves a variety of snacks and the best wood-fired pizzas in Zanzibar. The menu offers an a la carte selection of international and authentic Zanzibari dishes. At night time, the pool side at Jahazi Restaurant changes into an open air restaurant serving a variety of sumptuous buffet dishes, themed differently every night, whilst you are entertained by local entertainers from traditional African dancers, acrobats and local bands.
Set on a stunning beachfront location, Mawimbi Restaurant serves sumptuous Zanzibar Fusion cuisine. Incorporating traditional Zanzibar ingredients with Asian and western influences this is the perfect setting for a romantic candlelit dinner.

Diving, Watersports and Tours
Zanzibar is renowned for some of the best diving in the world. At Ocean Paradise, there is a professional PADI accredited dive company on site to organise and oversee your diving trips. With an unrivalled local knowledge they will be able to organise the best dives to suit your requirements. For novices, there is full tuition and certification available from qualified divers.
Other water sports activities include windsurfing, sailing and kayaking, together with an array of dolphin tours and boat trips.
A dedicated tour office is available in the resort with a wide selection of tours to choose from, including the Spice Island excursion, a visit to Stonetown to take in the history and shopping, or a visit to Jozani Forest to see the Red Colobus Monkeys, to name but a few.
For those who prefer to keep their feet on dry land the resort features a fully equipped fitness centre, beach volleyball, billiards and table tennis, with competitions organized by our animation team.
