Your Itinerary —
Day 1: Arrival in Sri Lanka
Upon arrival in Colombo Airport you will be met by your driver and transferred to Dambulla (approx. travel time: 4 - 5hrs).
Overnight at The Paradise Resort & Spa or similar with breakfast included.
After breakfast leave for the Sigiriya Rock Fortress where you could climb the 1200 steps and admire the fabulous frescoes on the walls of the ancient rock fortress.(Approx. travel time: 20min). The Sigiriya Rock Fortress is known as the 8th wonder of the world, it is a rock fortress that was built by King Kasyapa in the 5th century A.D. and was a royal citadel for more than 18 years. The UNESCO sponsored Central Cultural Fund has restored Sigiriya 5th century water gardens to their former glory.
On completion visit Minneriya National Park. (Approx. travel time: 1hr). Located between Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa, Minneriya is yet another heaven for the elephants that migrate from surrounding jungles to enjoy the lush grass fields on the banks of the Minneriya reservoir, during the dry season. Playful mokeys, migratory birds and colourful reptiles can also be spotted along the way.

Day 3: Dambulla - Polonnaruwa - Dambulla
Polonnaruwa was established as the capital by King Vijayabahu I after Anuradhapura had been invaded in the late 10th century. However it was under King Parakramabu I, who ruled in the late 11th century, that Polonnaruwa became a magnificent walled city. He built the vast reservoir, Parakrama Samudra (the Sea of Parakrama) still in use today, and ordered the construction of monasteries, temples, palaces, bathing pools and Buddhist statues, all set in a forested park surrounded by moats.

After breakfast, check-out of your hotel and proceed to Kandy. Along the way you will stop off at the spice gardens at Matale (approx. travel time: 1 - 1hr 30min). Matale is famous for its batik production and spice gardens. Batik has been an ancient art of painting cloth and today Sri Lanka is among the world leaders in the design of batik. Batik galleries and factories offer batik from simple single-coloured designs to intricate multi-coloured masterpieces.
On completion, proceed to your hotel in Kandy and in the evening you can explore the Royal city of Kandy, the Hill Capital and last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings which retains an aura of grandeur, which time has not affected. Encircled by hills, with a tranquil lake in its center, it is the site of the renowned "Temple of the Tooth". Kandy and its satellite villages is the center of the island’s handicraft industry and its traditional dances are the most spectacular in the country.

Today you will have a trip to Udawattakele Sanctuary (approx. travel time: 10 - 15min). Udawatta Forest is a historic forest not far from the city of Kandy. During the days of the Kandyan kingdom Udawatta Forest was known as "Uda Wasala Watta" in Sinhalese meaning "the garden of the king". The reserve is famous for its bird life and a wide variety of plant species. The forest is also of religious significance, since there are three Buddhist meditation retreats.
On completion return to your hotel, check out from the hotel and proceed to your lovely beach stay at Beruwala (approx. travel time: 4hrs 25min).

Day 6 - 7, 10, 12 or 14: Beachside Bliss
Spend your days soaking up the sun at this beach front hotel. You can also choose to upgrade to an all inclusive stay at the next stage of the booking process for an extra relaxing stay.
