Madrid is 600m above sea level and has over 4 million inhabitants. The capital of Spain has endless tourism resources which range from visits to monuments in the centre of the city to trips to iconic places in the region.
From the hotel you can easily access several metro and bus stops (Sol, Callao, Gran Vía…), and reach the train stations of Sol and Atocha easily, where you can gain access to the entire network of cercanías (short distance), AVE and long distance lines for trips around the region of Madrid, neighbouring provinces and the rest of Spain.
Madrid has plenty to offer in terms of art and culture with museums of renowned international prestige such as the Prado, Thyssen Bornemisza and Reina Sofía, as well as the Naval Museum, the Spanish National Museum of Natural Sciences, the Sorolla Museum and the Railway Museum, all accessible from our Hotel in Puerta del Sol.
Don’t leave Madrid without visiting the Royal Palace, the Royal Theatre, Madrid’s Opera House, the Church of San Jerónimo El Real, the Templo de Debod temple, Plaza de España, Plaza Mayor, the Gran Vía, La Latina and the markets of San Miguel and Fuencarral. If you have time, take a walk around the Puerta de Alcalá, El Retiro park or the Fountain of Cibeles and Neptuno.
