In this proudest of Tuscan provincial capitals, the scent of the sea is everywhere. And in the surrounding area, discover the marvels of the Tuscan Archipelago and the Argentario. From Livorno you can easily travel to some of the most fascinating cities in Tuscany and Italy.
The French Riviera at its best and home of the International Film Festival, this glamorous city is a sure bet for spotting the rich and famous. Head up Suquet Hill for a view of the city, sea and Lerins Island, walk the palm-lined promenade, or head to Marche Forville market for the most fantastic local food.
Whether it's basking in the Mediterranean sunshine or being cooled by the famous Mistral wind France's second-largest city and the capital of the Provence-Côte d'Azur region, is always a fascinating place to visit and a wonderful place for a leisurely lunch
