Arrive Cape Town, complete customs and immigration formalities and proceed to the arrivals hall where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Dias called it the Cape of Storms. Drake said it was “the Fairest Cape in the whole circumference of the earth.” For first time visitors it is love at first sight. Unpredictably moody, unbelievably serene - that’s Cape Town. See in the New Year with a bang at Cape Town's V&A Waterfront at the ever popular New Year's Eve Bash. With a programme of live music, street performers and other entertainers, this is one of the biggest New Year parties in the city and always attracts thousands of visitors. On the stroke of midnight, a fireworks display lights up the picturesque Waterfront area. Enjoy dinner and a front row seat to all the spectacular displays from your perfectly located Waterfront Restaurant.
Fri, 01 January – HALF DAY CITY TOUR WITH TABLE MOUNTAIN VISIT
Meet your guide and drive through the city to Table Mountain, from where we will board the famous rotating Table Mountain Cablecar to reach the summit of Cape Town’s iconic landmark. The exhilarating ascent is a must for any visitor and provides breathtaking views over the city and its beaches. We descend and continue to the thriving centre of the Mother City, in the shelter of Table Mountain, where we find a number of the Cape’s top attractions including the imposing Castle of Good Hope, colourful cottages of the Bo Kaap, bustling Green Market Square, the South African Museum and beautiful Company Gardens. Please note: Visit to Table Mountain is Weather permitting
African Themed Dinner at Gold Restaurant (During the Test)
From the moment you walk through the glass doors into the aged brick interior, with its ancient doors, wooden beams and iron pillars you will feel the heartbeat of Africa. Enjoy a night of opulent feasting with a unique mix of live entertainment in a mystical African setting. Time for the action to begin. Daily return transfers will be provided to the Ground. During the Test join your host and fellow travellers at our cricket forum where you'll have an opportunity to ask any questions about the current series as well as listen to some tales from his playing days.
Thu 7 Jan – CAPE PENINSULA TOUR
Your Cape Point day tour starts along one of the most famous scenic routes in Cape Town, travelling past the spectacular pristine beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay towards the fishing Town of Hout Bay. On arrival at Hout Bay we head down to the sea docks where you will have the opportunity to take a 45min boat trip to Seal Island or browse through some of the local arts and craft stalls. We then head off over the iconic pass of Chapman’s Peak, where you'll have an opportunity to take some amazing photos.
We continue towards the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve where we take the funicular to the light-house and capture some spectacular views of False Bay. Lunch is served at the 2 Oceans Restaurant at Cape Point.
We then head off round the opposite side of the Peninsula towards the Naval Base of Simon’s Town and Boulders Beach, where we make a point of stopping at Boulders to see the African colony of Jackass Penguins. The final part of the tour takes us for a closer look at False Bay passing through some quaint coastal villages, such as Fish Hoek and Kalk Bay. Our last stop is at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens before returning to the hotel.

Time to do your own thing. Spend today out and about visiting some of the cities 'must see ' attractions including Table Mountain and Robben Island.
Sat 9 Jan - CAPE WINELANDS TOUR
Transfer to Stellenbosch in the beautiful Cape Winelands. Today, you'll experience the culture, tradition and true romance of Stellenbosch as you stroll through the old town centre. Visit the oldest restored townhouse in the South Africa. Enjoy ready-to-dunk rusks (traditional biscuit) with indigenous teas and you can’t leave the country without trying biltong and droëwors! We visit a small, family-run butchery to find out more and to taste the product, while a variety of white and red wines from award-winning estates will be sampled on our walk.
We transfer to the beautiful Vergelegen Estate for a Picnic Lunch - Vergelegen's mystic Camphor Forest is the venue for our "white tablecloth" picnic. Here we will enjoy an intimate picnic in a beautifully shaded and tranquil environment in the remnants of Van Der Stel's Camphor forest. After lunch, return to the hotel.
Sun 10 Jan - CAPE TOWN / LONDON
Enjoy final day enjoying all that Cape Town has to offer before your early afternoon transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your flight home. Arrive London Heathrow the following morning (11 January)

Thu 7 Jan – CAPE TOWN - KRUGER EASTGATE AIRPORT
On arrival at Hoedspruit Airport, Kapama Rangers welcome and greet guests before assisting them onto open safari vehicles for the short transfer to the lodge where you check in and enjoy lunch.
Kapama Private Game Reserve is an African Eden. Sweeping across 13 000 hectares of savannah and riverine forest, Kapama represents a piece of Africa as it used to be. With the mighty Drakensberg mountains in the distance and iconic Kruger National Park to the east, Kapama has the finest wildlife safari offering with vast herds of buffalo, elephant and antelope along with plentiful predators resident on the reserve.
Enjoy your first afternoon safari and sundowner drinks in the bush.
Return to the lodge for dinner in the Lodge dining Room.
Fri 8 Jan - KAPAMA GAME RESERVE
The days start with an early wake-up call between 5am and 5:30am. Tea, coffee and rusks are enjoyed together before heading out at first light. Halfway through the game drive, there’s a stop for hot drinks and snacks, before returning to the lodge at around 9am for a hearty breakfast. After breakfast relax around the pool or enjoy one of the many activities the lodge has on offer, including (payable locally) Spa treatments, an Elephant back Safari or nature walk with your Ranger.
Lunch is served at your leisure followed by an afternoon safari. Dinner will either be served at the lodge dining room or in the open air Boma.
Sat 9 Jan - KAPAMA - SCENIC TOUR - JOHANNESBURG - LONDON
We depart Kapama by coach and drive back to Johannesburg via the scenic Panorama Route. The route along the Mpumalanga escarpment is both pleasurable and picturesque to drive as there is so much to see. Along the way you will enjoy stops at Gods Window, Blyde River Canyon and Mac Falls. Arrive Johannesburg Airport, complete check-in formalities and prepare for your flight home.
