The Norwegian Fjords region is one of the most spectacular natural landscapes and best preserved in the world. A setting that combines impressive images of fjords, majestic glaciers, waterfalls, crystalline lakes and snowy mountains, sprinkled with picturesque villages seemed straight out of a postcard.

We will provide you with a suggested itinerary to cover in your hire car, beginning in Oslo, you will make your way to smaller charming cities such as Telemark and Bergen. Along the way you will witness the spectacular scenery of the country, where smooth glass-like fjords reflect the soaring mountains above.

As for accommodation, we have selected comfortable and cosy hotels in convenient locations, so you can be assured of a restful night after your day's adventures.

Your Itinerary —

The route below is a suggested itinerary only. Entrance fees to National Parks and attractions are not included.

Day 1 - UK - Oslo
On arrival at Oslo Gardermoen Airport, proceed to the Rent-a-car desk where you will pick up your car.

Once you get a vehicle and all the documentation, you can start enjoying the city of Oslo, located in a privileged zone between the ord Osloord forests and hills. The city offers the perfect combination of urban life and magnificent natural landscapes surrounding it.

Day 2 - Oslo – Telemark
Breakfast included.

During the early morning, you can enjoy visiting the Oslo city centre.
Then you can make your way to the outside of the town face to Telemark County, to start discovering the most authentic and impressive Norwegian landscapes.

From one of Norway’s most charming coastal towns to tall mountains and highlands,
the county of Telemark is as diverse as it is beautiful.

Go on a trip on the Telemark Canal and get a taste of what the county has to offer.

Day 3 – Telemark - Hardanger - Stavanger
Breakfast.

Early in the morning, you can leave your hotel in Telemark Area, starting a day to discover the beautiful Norwegian nature facing Stavanger, the capital of Rogaland County.

We recommend you take the route to Tau. Once there, you can direct your steps to Preikestolhytta, the starting point for those who are planning to climb the Pulpit Rock, an outgoing part of the Fjord of Light that offers a stunning view of the fjord.

Later on, you can get closer to the shore, to visit the fjord of Light in Oanes, where you can get a boat to travel all along of the Lyseord (Fjord of the Light) to its other side that will guide you to Lauvvik.

When you finish your exciting trip contemplating Norwegian landscapes, you can return by highway to Stavanger where you will have time to relax and enjoy the calm of this beautiful city.

Day 4 - Stavanger – Bjorna & Bokna Fjords – Bergen
Breakfast.


You can make a trip by the North Sea crossing the fjords Bjorna and Bokna in ferry, the Rennesoy islands and the underwater tunnels of Rennfast (the deepest in the world,
223 meters below sea level).

You will arrive in the beautiful fishing village of Bergen. Once  arrived,  you  can  spend  your  time discovering the city with its colourful houses  of  the  old  area  of  the  Bryggen  sea  port,  the  picturesque  fish  market Fisketorget; the Aquarium, the port terraces or just let yourself get lost in the fairy tale of this wonderful city.

We suggest you visit the surrounding areas of Bergen, including Trolls Hill where the
house-museum of the famous composer Edvard Grieg is located.  Or to travel in funicular to the Floi hill where you can enjoy the best view to the city.

Day 5 – Bergen - Voss – Sognefjord Area
Breakfast.

We recommend you continue your journey to the historic town of Voss, where you can find the church Vangskyrkja that has a breathtaking panorama of snowcapped mountains behind.

Also, today you will have an opportunity to get the Flam train which runs by one of the steepest railways in the world.

Then you can make a cruise that will take you approximately 2.5 hours. During this spectacular tour by the blue water of the Sognefjord you will enjoy the spectacular waterfalls and idyllic farms climbing up the hills. Also, you will visit the Nærøyfjord, the narrowest fjord in the world.

And there is no better way to finish this beautiful day, than enjoying the included dinner at the hotel with the panoramic views of the fjords.

Day 6 – Sognefjord Area – Nigardsbreen – Boya - Jolstra Lake - Nordfjord
Breakfast.

We suggest you wake up early to have more me for this part of our spectacular trip. Today we have the opportunity to choose between some of the most beautiful Norwegian landscapes.

The Jostedal riverbank, famous for the green color of its water, will take you to Nigardsbreen, the most spectacular glacier that you can only see in Norway.

We also strongly recommend you make a short ascension to the millenary glacier, enjoying the picturesque Norwegian nature and its incredible views you can’t find any similar in the whole world. Once there, you will find the Nigardsbreen glacier made of blue ice. (about 1 hour).

For those who decide not to make this climb, there is also the open to approach to the base of the glacier, and then return to the starting point where you can visit the Interpretant  Center  of  the  Natural Park, which has a panoramic cafe where you
can have  rest.

Afterwards,  you  can  continue  the  route  to  Boya, where you can see a small and captivating glacier, and approach to the Jolstra lake.

Your day will end up in a small hotel in  Nordfjord, a peaceful region nestled between the peaks of the Norwegian central massif.

Day 7 - Nordfjord- Briksdal - Geiranger - Gudbrandsdal Valley
Breakfast.

This is one of the most intense stages of the trip. We recommend you start making your way to the nearby Briksdal glacier.  This thousand-year-old glacial ice appears among the whish remains of previous avalanches, with its impressive blue color.

Then  you  can  take  the  way  to  Hellesylt,  where  you  have  the  opportunity  to  take a   15km cruise  through  the  Geiranger fjord,  which  together  with  Nærøyfjord was  declared  a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO.

Afterwards we recommend you follow direction to the town of Geiranger and walk up the Dalsnibba road, which is part of the Golden Route. You can also make a stop in Flydalsjuvet, the most famous viewpoint of the whole region.

To end the day, you can head up the charming village of Lom, located in the valley of Gudbrandsdal and visit the Stavkirke, one of the most big and stunning wooden churches of the Viking age

Day 8 - Gudbrandsdal Valley – UK
Breakfast.

Have some free time before making your way to the airport through the winding Valley of the Gudbrandsdal.

Return the rental car at the Oslo Gardermoen (OSL) Airport. You must return the car before or at the same time as you rented it the first day or you may have to pay extra.

Car Hire —

THE CAR INCLUDED FOR THIS TOUR IS CLASS B (PEUGEOT 208).

The car must be picked up and returned to Oslo Gardermoen Airport. The return of the vehicle must be made before or at the same time as you rented the first day. If customer arrives later, even a few minutes, an additional day will be charged on the credit card.

Information Required:
We need driver´s name of each reservation, who must have a driving license and a credit card at his/her name that is required for car rental.

Age minimum:
Minimum age is 25 years old

The person named on the reservation booking must be the main driver, present at the time of rental and payer of any rental charges.

Out of hours pick-up:

Out of hours return:
Out of hours return is available for all vehicle groups. Please leave keys and rental agreement in the key box. For further information, please contact the location as specific conditions and fees may apply.

Insurance:
DAMAGE WAIVER EXCESS: NOK 8.000,00
THEFT WAIVER EXCESS: NOK 8.000,00
SUPER COVER: Reduces the deductible to 1,500 NOK (10,000 NOK for minivans)

SCDW does not cover any improper use of the vehicle. The following items are not covered:   res, glass, interiors, chassis, loss of keys, fuel contamination.
- In case of an accident due to the renter's liability, the renter has the obligation to pay to the Vendor a non- refundable fee to cover administration expenses
- Super Cover (SCDW) does not release the customer from this fee.

The credit card must be under the name of the person who subscribes the rental agreement and
who drives the car

Notes:
- All the accessories or other extras not specifically included in the prepaid reservation will be paid at the time of rental.
- In case of damage it is mandatory to provide to Hertz the Police report, otherwise, the coverage provided by CDW/LDW and Super Cover will not be valid.
- Rates updated to 01 November. The amounts of the exemptions and the amounts of the super cover may change at any time without notice.

Additional driver:
- The price of an additional driver is NOK 40,00 (tax included) per day and a maximum cost of NOK 560.00 (tax included).
- If it is not already included in the rate selected, the additional driver must be requested and it must be paid on site

NeverLost Navigation System:
NeverLost is available on all vehicle groups for an additional fee of NOK 130.00 (including tax) per day, NOK 910.00 (including tax) per week or NOK 1,000.00 (including tax) per month.

Please note:
- Out of hours pick-up and delivery/collection are not allowed.
- Out of hours return is available - Leave NeverLost in the vehicle or drop box.
- One-way rentals are not allowed. If the NeverLost is returned to a city different from the pick-up, a
fee of NOK 1,500.00 will be charged.
- NeverLost is not covered by CDW, TP, PI, Super Cover or any other coverage in the event of loss,
damage or accident. NOK 1,875.00 (including tax) will be charged if the complete unit is lost or stolen.
- Hertz Gold Plus Rewards members must purchase the NeverLost at the counter. A separate contract
must be signed for the equipment.

Liabilities
You will be charged for the replacement of damaged or lost equipment as follows:

Carrying Case - NOK 150.00 (including tax)

You are responsible for returning all the equipment and obtaining a receipt from the rental location.

Your Contract —

If you book a package which includes flights, your contract will be with Voyage Privé. The air holiday package(s) shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 10170.

If you book a package which does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as agent for the accommodation provider.

Travel Documents —

Flight Inclusive Offers
You will receive an email confirming your booking within the next 48 hours.

Please check all details on this confirmation are correct.  If there are any discrepancies, please notify us as soon as possible.

The airline is ticketless and therefore, you will not receive any hard copy documents.  You will however, receive an email from us detailing your flight information and reference number to enable you to manage your booking online via the airline website.

You will also receive an accommodation voucher for presentation at the hotel reception at point of check-in.

If you have booked transfers, 'Meet & Greet', car hire or airport lounges, you will receive a separate voucher for each of these services.  Please note that transfer vouchers are sent directly from the transfer supplier.

Please do make sure that you either add Voyage Privé to your ‘Safe Senders’ list or check your ‘Junk mail’ regularly for your travel documents.

We will send all documents out as early as possible (subject to full payment being received) but you should receive all your documentation at least 10 days prior to departure.
