Your Destination —
Among the islands of Svalbard, Spitsbergen inhabits only 2950 people. It's ice-covered surface makes up for an impressive two thirds of the land and the nearest settlement after here is Longyearbyen - where complete sunshine or darkness prevails around the clock throughout the summer and winter.
In this Arctic desert where the surface of the earth melts only a metre in the summer, there are 170 species of migratory birds and Arctic animals such as bears, Svalbard reindeer, seals, polar foxes and also walruses, on the North and East coasts.
Head to this extreme corner of the world for a truly mind-blowing, once in a lifetime trip and discover how some of the most extraordinary animals on the planet survive. This is one of the most naturally hostile environments, with its succession of snowy peaks, glaciers, ice fields and icebergs!
Guests will get a taste of life beyond the Arctic Circle and may encounter wild polar bears and some of the coldest snowdrifts.
