Your Destinations

Vietnam
Year on year Vietnam is becoming a more popular holiday destination as people start to discover all that this beautiful and fascinating country has to offer. The attraction of a holiday to Vietnam is evident when you consider its unique cultural and historical heritage set in an unspoilt, diverse and engaging landscape. Whilst Vietnam is an extraordinary country to explore, an increasing number of tourists are going simply to relax; with over 3,000km of coastline, stunning white sand beaches and a number of deluxe 5-star resorts.

There has never been a better time to go on a Vietnam holiday than now, as the country with a fascinating past warmly embraces its future as a major player among international tourist destinations. When visiting Vietnam you will discover a country that offers something for every holidaymaker. From the tranquillity of the Mekong Delta, the charms of Hanoi, the natural beauty of Ha Long Bay to the hectic city life found in Ho-Chi-Minh City (Saigon), a Vietnam holiday offers something for everyone, making it a truly unequalled travel experience.
Cambodia
Cambodia has remained hidden from the outside world for much of the last century, but now emerging from years of isolation and becoming increasingly popular on the traveller's trail. The fascinating country offers a true taste of Southeast Asia before the arrival of tourism and modernisation. It has a diverse landscape from dusty hot cities and mountainous jungles to beautifully calm bays and pristine beaches.

At the turn of the millennium Siem Reap was a Cambodian provincial town with few facilities, minor surfaced roads and little in the way of nightlife. Now it is a major tourist hub due to its proximity to the world famous temples of Angkor (UNESCO World Heritage Site).
Laos
Often overlooked in favour of its better-known neighbours, landlocked Laos remains one of Southeast Asia’s most beguiling destinations. Caught in the middle of the two Indochina wars and long isolated from the rest of the world, the country retains a slow, rather old-fashioned charm, and its people – incredibly laidback and friendly... The lifeline of this landlocked nation, the Mekong is a must for every visit to Laos, supplying fish for dinner, a stunning array of sunsets and a fascinating route to travel along- bring you camera as the views are breathtaking!

Please note: the following visa charges apply (price subject to change without prior notication)

Your Itinerary

Day 1: Fly overnight to Saigon
Depart the UK on your overnight flight to Saigon

Day 2: Arrive Saigon
Arrive in Saigon and make your way to your hotel. Saigon is one of the world’s truly cosmopolitan cities with a history, culture and style obtained from colonial France, ancient China and the art deco era.

Although the city was renamed Ho Chi Minh City in 1975, the government soon realised that the proud 'Saigonese' would never stop calling it Saigon. Now it’s accepted that Ho Chi Minh City refers to the greater metropolitan area, while the older and central suburbs are called Saigon. Overnight Saigon.

Day 3: Discover the Mekong Delta
This morning drive to Ben Tre, a southern province located in the Mekong Delta. You will pass lush rice paddies and fruit farms emerging alongside the highway as you leave the city behind. Upon arrival in Ben Tre explore the riverside communities, stilt houses and markets that make this part of the world so unique. Drive back to Saigon in the afternoon Breakfast and lunch included. Overnight in Saigon

Day 4: Explore Saigon and the Chu Chi Tunnels
This morning head to the Chu Chi Tunnels which are located in an area known during the American War in Vietnam as the ‘Iron Triangle’, on account of the strength of its Communist insurgency. The network, which is several storeys deep in some parts, includes trapdoors, living areas, storage facilities, weapon factories, field hospitals, command centres and kitchens. In the afternoon, you will begin your sightseeing around Vietnam's largest and busiest city with a visit to the imposing Notre Dame Cathedral, the French-style Central Post Office and the Reunification  Overnight in Saigon.

Day 5: Saigon to Hanoi
Free activities until the transfer to the airport to take the short light to Hanoi

Upon arrival, our guide will meet and greet you. We will be transferred to our hotel. Hanoi is a charming and richly historic city of lakes, shaded boulevards and verdant public parks, with a population of about four million. The city centre is like an architectural museum, with blocks of ochre buildings retaining the air of a provincial French town from the 1930s.  We will have a quick look from Ba Dinh square to Ho Chi Minh Complex.

Next we will drive to the serene Temple of Literature, Hanoi's first university dating back to 1070 and a historical centre of learning, now dedicated to Confucian worship. The rest time of the day is free to explore the city, shop for souvenirs or simply relax in a local café and watch the world go by. Breakfast included Overnight in Hanoi

Day 6: Halong Bay Cruise
This morning we drive to the area that is regarded as the ‘Jewel in the Crown of Vietnam’, Halong Bay.
Upon arrival in Halong Bay, we board our boat for a cruise around the 3,000 islets that rise from the clear emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin.

Bizarre rock sculptures jutting dramatically from the sea and numerous grottoes have created an enchanted, timeless world; the sails of the junk boats and sampans add further to the scenic beauty. Enjoy a seafood lunch on board before we set sail. We cruise around the bay this afternoon stopping to explore fascinating caves and to enjoy a swim at one of the beaches. Dinner will be served on board while watching the sun set over the bay. The remainder of the night is ours to relax on board the anchored junk boat. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
