And for a nice drink, head to the Koudiaz Bar, which takes its name from the coastal hill which you can sit back and admire whilst sipping on an exotic cocktail.

Your Time

Embark on a full day tour of these beautiful cities at the foot of the Rif Mountains, from Tangier to Chefchaouen and Tetouan to Chefchaouen. Once you've left your hotel, you'll be able to take in the stunning scenery of the Mediterranean coast and the Rif forest before arriving at the UNESCO-listed old town and the bustling modern districts of Tetouan.
The name of the city comes from the Berber language and literally means "the eyes". It also has a figurative meaning - "the springs of water". Tetouan represents a unique blend of Andalusian and Arabic culture, which makes this place incomparable. There are many landmarks and monuments. No wonder the city attracts so many visitors and travellers from all over the world. We will visit the square named after the famous Hassan II (Boulevard Mohammed V). We will walk around the outer esplanade of the governor's palace (the king's palace), the first North African mosque and the Spanish garden.
One of the characteristics of Tetouan is the large number of street vendors, who offer their products for sale.
During the visit, we will also see the Jewish section, the Berber market, the Andalusian market and the city market.
Departure from Tetouan to our second destination "Chefchaouen". After 45 minutes of breathtaking scenery and numerous Berber villages, we reach Chefchaouen, one of the largest cities in the world.
It is famous for its blue medina, with its narrow, winding streets and craft workshops. It was the Jews who first painted the city blue, a colour that was supposed to protect against the evil eye and mosquitoes. Lunch break at Riad Dar Chaouen. It will be served in the idyllic garden overlooking the "Rass Elma" valley and the medina.
After lunch, walk in the medina which gives an overview of the historical and cultural context of the city and the Rif region. Stop at "Outat Lahmam" and visit of the kasbah, built by Sultan Moulay Ismail (16th century), which is now almost a ruin and stands next to the great mosque. Although the medina is small, it is authentic. We will walk through its narrow streets to mingle with the inhabitants and soak up the smells of daily life. Chefchaouen is more than just a pretty face. The city is full of attractions, thanks to its rich heritage.
