Your Destinations

Marrakech

This city, in southern Morocco, has been said to symbolise the country as a whole. As a vibrant and colourful centre for culture and entertainment, Marrakech is renowned for its wonderful climate, arts, gardens, ornate palaces, bustling souks (markets), and lively festivals. For those in search of the 'real' Morocco, this is the place to come.

Nestling at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains, within ancient city walls, surrounded by look-out towers and ramparts, Marrakech comprises a densely packed maze of narrow streets and alleyways. Djemaa el-Fna Square lies at the heart of the city, and where the Berber tribespeople come to sell their wares, and storytellers, acrobats, and entertainers attract the crowds.

Part Berber, part Arab, part African, Marrakech is the heartbeat of Morocco, where palaces and mountains sit alongside the snake charmers and Gnaoua drums pulsing constantly from the Jemaa el Fna Square - the most exuberant marketplace in the world. Known as "The Red City" for its rose-hued facades and medina walls, this exotic destination has much to offer to the discerning traveller.

High Atlas Mountains

Also referred to as the 'Grand Atlases' this famous mountain range offers fantastic limestone river canyons, or wadis and is one of the most beautiful ranges in North Africa. The mountain range stretches approximately 1,600 miles across not only Morocco but also Algeria, and Tunisia. It is so vast that it does the job of separating the coastlines of the Mediterranean and Atlantic oceans from the Sahara Desert in Morocco.

The Todra Gorge, a place which will be explored during this tour, is a must-see for visitors to Tinghir and especially for mountaineering enthusiasts. you will also pass through famous towns such as Ouarzazate, also known as the gateway in to the Sahara.

Sahara Desert

Leave behind the madness and city chaos and escape over the rugged atlases into a wilder bit of Morocco - this is the famous dunes of the Sahara Desert. One of the absolute highlights of a trip to Morocco is seeing the vast Saharan sand dunes and camping under the stars. Places like Merzouga and Erg Chegaga are increasingly popular with tourists and as far as solitude is concerned, it still has the upper hand over the rest of the country.
