Leave Marrakech behind and head towards the Atlantic coast of Essaouira.
Your guide tells you about the history of the town and shows you characteristics of the 15th and 18th centuries, such as ramparts, the fishing port and harbour, Skala (market) and its quaint Medina.
It is then time to go to Skala, the municipal market. See countless artisans working in their workshops and the many arts that skilled craftsmen create.
Walk through markets where stalls groan under the weight of colourful fruit and fresh vegetables, or simply wander through the harbour and witness the hive of activity at the water's edge. If you choose to, enjoy a scrumptious lunch served at one of the many restaurants that line the coast (not included). Before heading back to Marrakech, your guide takes you to key points in the city, including the port, Medina – the old town filled with souks – and Mellah, a Jewish quarter.
