Sands at Chale Island —
You will enjoy a 6, 7, 9 or 11 night stay in a Standard Room, with Half Board.

Beside the reception is the main fresh water swimming pool, built with local stone and connected by a small waterfall to a sixteen seater Jacuzzi. Plentiful sun beds are scattered around the generous pool surround. Located between the Standard Rooms is another swimming pool area with pool bar and sun beds. Enjoy the tranquility and relax with magnificent panorama views on the Indian Ocean.
On the other side of the Island by the SPA and fitness area is a salt-water swimming pool with steps leading directly into the sea at high tide offering a magical swim through the mangroves to the main jetty. With steps leading straight down to the centre of the beach, the main restaurant is ideally situated to give the true island feeling. The expert team of highly trained cooks led by Chef Evans will make sure that every meal is a pleasure.
With a strong emphasis on seafood, the live grilling station and Pasta corner ensure that your meal cannot be any fresher. Traditional Kenyan cuisine, mixed with both Italian and Oriental dishes, will not leave you wanting in any aspect. Chale Island has something to offer everyone. Normal island activities available include a magical SPA, a well equipped watersports centre and a selection of boat excursions.
Carefully set into the natural environment, these rooms come with spacious semi-circular en-suite rooms and Swahili day beds set on breezy verandas facing the ocean to ensure all comforts are taken care of.
Safari Itinerary —
1 Night Safari
Day 1: Diani – Ngutuni/Tsavo East (245Kms/4h)
Leaving Diani after early breakfast, you will be driven along the Mombasa/Nairobi road. Enter Ngutuni Wildlife sanctuary for morning game drive followed with lunch. After lunch you will be driven to Taita Hills sanctuary, for an afternoon game drive. Dinner and Overnight at Sarova Salt Lick Lodge.
Day 2: Taita Hills – Mombasa (245Kms/4h)
Early morning game followed by breakfast at the lodge then mid morning game drive, lunch and drive back to your hotel!
3 Night Safari
Day 1: Mombasa – Tsavo East (245kms/4h)
After an early breakfast, you will depart to TsavoEast National Park. Upon entering the park the driver will open the roof of your bus, so you can stand up with the wind in your hair. Welcome to Africa, the safari has begun! Tsavo is the largest national park in Kenya and is split into East and West by the highway. You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and later enjoy time for relaxation before setting off back into the park for your afternoon game drive. Return to the lodge as the sun sets. Overnight Ashnil Aruba Lodge or similar on a full board basis.
Day 2: Tsavo East – Amboseli (315km/5h)
After an early breakfast, depart to Amboseli national park. If the weather is clear you’ll catch sight of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro directly ahead. Entering the gate you will enjoy game viewing on route to your camp, arriving in time for lunch. After some time for relaxation or a dip in the inviting swimming pool, set out into the national park for a game drive. Return to the camp as the sun sets. Overnight at Amboseli Sentrim Camp or similar on a full board basis.
Day 3: Amboseli – Taita Hills Game Sanctuary (250km/4h)
Following an early morning gamedrive and breakfast, depart east to Taita Hills, arriving in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive in the Sanctuary, returning to the lodge as the sun sets. After dinner set out on a night gamedrive, this time with an opportunity to view nocturnal wildlife in their habitat. Overnight at Sarova Saltlick Lodge on a full board basis.
Day 4: Taita Hills – Diani Beach (290km/5h)
After breakfast enjoy a morning game drive in the sanctuary, returning to the lodge for lunch before continuing your journey to Mombasa, aiming to reach your beach hotel in the evening.
