Fly to Verona where you will be transferred to your hotel.

Today you will visit a wonderful villa on the hills near Bardolino, where an experienced chef will welcome and guide you in preparing beautiful Italian food. Make home made pasta as well as learn how to choose seasonal products, revealing tricks and tips along the way. You will enjoy lunch made by yourself as well as some lovely wine to accompany the delicious cuisine.

Verona, the famous setting for Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Enjoy a guided visit to this delightful town where your guide will show you the highlights, from the Arena where regular live opera performances can be seen, Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza dei Signori and of course Juliet's balcony. You will also have the chance to do some shopping on one of the most elegant streets in Italy, Via Mazzini. (Meals as per hotel details).

Today you can enjoy the Lake surroundings and explore at your own pace. A host of activities are available around the lake, from swimming (seasonal) and walking (excellent walks can be found at the top of Monte Baldo via the cable car). There are boat trips across or around the lake with a daily service journeying from top to bottom and vice versa, stopping off at the resorts enroute, you can enjoy the wonderful views and discover different areas of Lake Garda.
A marvellous array of food awaits, from deliciously tempting ice-creams (a speciality of Italy) to fresh pasta, seafood and of course pizza. Favourite tipples include Prosecco, a sparkling wine typical of this area, Limoncello, a sweet liqueur, best served chilled, and the local wine of the region, red Bardolino which is very well-known and widely available. You'll also find Valpolicella from Verona as well as Teroldego or Marzemino, from Trentino as well as the very well respected Soave, and Lugana if you prefer white.

A half day excursion to discover the wine tradition of the region Veneto. Along the Gardesana road you reach the Valpolicella, a wine growing area where some of the best northern Italy wines are produced. You will visit the vineyard "Tenuta Ugolini" where the owner will show you the methods and the techniques of making wines. Enjoy the wine with a tasting session and also a snack, all whilst surrounded by the magnificent panoramic view of Valpolicella.
