Your Destinations —
In the north of Italy you will find a string of narrow, glacial lakes set magnificently between alpine foothills, straddled by the border of Switzerland - a place of such exquisite natural beauty that you will wonder why you have not been before.
The most famous lakes in Italy’s Lake District, from west to east, are Lake Maggiore, Lake Lugano, Lake Como and Lake Garda, each beautiful in their own right. Imagine vistas of crystal blue waters shining silky-smooth in the sun, set against plummeting alpine mountains and dotted with sleepy cobblestone villages - then you will have some idea of the Italy that will steal your heart.
Sail past the charming stone cottages with their balconies resting over the blue lake waters and the monasteries clinging to the lake-side rock. Wander through the narrow alleyways of the rustic villages, taste divine Italian ice-cream in the secluded gardens or sit beside the lake and marvel at the jaw-dropping views set against the exotic flora.
This spectacular destination is one of Italy’s jewels and its abundant natural beauty will stay with you forever.
There is no better destination in Europe than Milan for a shopping weekend. Take time to visit the birthplace of so many of the famous design houses such as Gucci, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana and Armani.
Walk through the Manzoni quarter to visit the avenues where fashion is created daily, namely on Montenapoleone Boulevard and Via della Spiga. This area has been named "Fashion Square" by the locals and is definitely worth a visit.
Fashion and shopping is not all there is to see and do in Italy, as the city's rich heritage is present at every street corner and on every square. Enjoy visits of the various cathedrals and museums, or simply soak up the atmosphere at an outdoor café, discovering the city like one of the locals.
Famed as the home of Romeo and Juliet’s epic star-crossed lover’s tale, Verona is as beautiful as it is romantic - and it is easy to see why this enchanting city inspired Shakespeare so. Once Rome’s main trade centre, this ancient city is strewn with majestic artifacts dating all the way back to the 3rd century BC and blossoms with the abundant character of a now lively, cosmopolitan city. Dive in to the rich history of Verona with its myriad of museums and historical sites, relax in the piazzas with a cappuccino and visit Juliet’s picturesque balcony or stop by the 2000-year-old arena to enjoy an opera show, for which the city is also world-famous.
