Delicately poised on the banks of the Arno river, surrounded by 9 hectares of lemon trees and olive groves, discover this little 5* gem, a member of the prestigious Leading Hotels of the World group. Reflected in the waters of the river like a rustic painting from the Renaissance, the Villa La Massa is a stunning Medici villa which was reconverted into a hotel in 1948. Sleep

The 37 rooms and suites of the hotel are spread out over three buildings: the Noble Villa (Villa Nobile), le Moulin (Il Mulino, 15th century) and the Cottage (Il Vilino). The rooms boast an understated Tuscan decor with lavish Renaissance details, and endless views of the Tuscan countryside...

- Deluxe Double Room (30 m² / max 2 persons): The light and spacious Deluxe Double rooms offer a classic decor inspired by typical luxurious Tuscan houses, and feature incredible views of the hotel gardens.

- Double Prestige (35 m² / max 2 persons): The Double Prestige rooms offer beautiful views of the Arno river or the Chianti Hills, through voluptuous colourful curtains.

- Top Junior Suite (40 m² / max 2 persons): Spread out over the hotel's three buildings, the Junior Suites feature noble fabrics and material inspired by 16th century damasks from the town of Rovezzano. Guests can take in the incredible views of the endless olive groves and cypress trees surrounding the hotel...
 
- Suite (50 m² / max 2 persons): The Renaissance inspired Suites feature marble, precious fabrics and a lounge area, for a relaxing break.

Please note: the bed for the 3rd/4th guest sharing is likely to be a sofa bed or camp style bed.

Taste

The Il Verrocchio restaurant is run by Chef Andrea Quagliarella, offering fragrant Tuscan and Mediterranean flavours, prepared using local organic produce. For the perfect accompaniment to your meal, the hotel offers an impressive selection of 400 delicious Tuscan and Italian wines.
For refreshments, head to the Medicean Bar or the poolside bar to enjoy Italian grappa, whiskey, brandy or cocktails, and snacks or light meals for lunch or dinner. You will also be treated to a complimentary bottle of olive oil per room and per stay!

Experience

During your stay at Villa La Massa, head to the Arno Spa for a spot of pampering, where you will find Turkish baths, a sauna, a roman hydromassage pool and treatment rooms. You will also be treated to a 30 minute massage per room and per stay. Sports lovers can ask the hotel staff about the different activities available at the hotel or nearby: choose from horse riding, mountain biking, jogging trails or tennis courts...

By car:
- From Florence: On the A1 motorway, exit towards "Firenze Sud" and follow signs for Bagno a Ripoli - From Pontassieve: On the Pontassieve motorway, turn left at the Candeli traffic lights towards Via Della Massa.

By train:
- Florence's Santa Maria Novella train station is located approximately 20 minutes away from the hotel.

By plane:
- Florence Airport is located approximately 30 km away from the hotel.
- Pisa Airport is located approximately 95 km away from the hotel. 
- Bologna Airport is located approximately 100 km away from the hotel. 

Contract —

If you book a package which includes flights, your contract will be with Voyage Privé. The air holiday package(s) shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 10170.

If you book a package which does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as agent for the accommodation provider.

Travel documents —

You will receive an email confirming your booking within the next 48 hours. Please check all details on this confirmation are correct. If there are any discrepancies, please notify us as soon as possible. 

Accommodation Only:
You will also receive an accommodation voucher for presentation at the hotel reception at point of check-in.

Flight Inclusive Offers
The airline is ticket-less and therefore, you will not receive any hard copy documents. You will however, receive an email from us detailing your flight information and reference number to enable you to manage your booking online via the airline website. You will also receive an accommodation voucher for presentation at the hotel reception at point of check-in.

Please do make sure that you either add Voyage Privé to your Safe Senders list or check your Junk mail regularly for your travel documents. We will send all documents out as early as possible (subject to full payment being received) but you should receive all your documentation at least 10 days prior to departure.
