4 Night Itinerary

Day 1: Dublin’s Fair City
Welcome to Dublin. After you pick up your car, transfer to your hotel. Spend the remainder of the day soaking up the atmosphere of this exciting city which includes statue-lined O’Connell Street, with the Spire” at its center and the General Post Office, scene of the 1916 Easter uprising as well as many elegant Georgian squares.

Day 2: Kildare, Tipperary & Kerry
This morning, depart Dublin and travel south through the rich midland pastures of Kildare to where you can visit the Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens just outside the town of Kildare. Continue south passing through Cashel where you can visit one of the most important ecclesiastical sites in Ireland - The Rock of Cashel, which rises dramatically from the flat countryside of Tipperary. This site has the best set of varied monuments in any Irish site. Continue to Killarney located among spectacular mountains and lakes for overnight.

Day 3: Ring of Kerry
Today tour the Ring of Kerry, one of Ireland’s loveliest districts. A delightful day includes a drive along the broad, dramatic coastline of the Iveragh Peninsula and through the charming villages and towns of Killorglin, Cahersiveen, Waterville and Irish-speaking Sneem. Near Killorglin, you can visit the Kerry Bog Village Museum. On your return journey to Killarney you can stop by Muckross House, a magnificent Victorian mansion and one of Ireland’s leading stately homes.

Day 4: Limerick & Dublin
Leave Killarney this morning and travel north through County Kerry and stop in the picturesque village of Adare, with its pretty mustard colored thatch cottages and medieval abbey. Continue to the Medieval City of Limerick where you can visit the Hunt Museum which houses a unique internationally renowned private collection of over 2,000 original works of art and antiquity. Leaving Limerick and drive through the midlands to Birr. The Demesne also features the Galleries of Discovery Ireland’s Historic Science Centre. Continue to Dublin.

Day 5: Departure
Travel to Dublin Airport for your flight home.

Day 1: Dublin
Arrive in Dublin, pick up your hire car and head to your accommodation for the night. According to time of arrival, enjoy a tour of the highlights of Dublin, which could include a visit to the Trinity College to view the Book of Kells, or perhaps the National Museum of Ireland.

Day 2: Dublin - Galway
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Dublin. You could visit St Patrick's Cathedral, stop off at the Old Jameson Distillery or enjoy an audio-visual tour of a whiskey tasting centre. In the afternoon, depart for your next stop in Galway.

Day 3: Connemara Region
Discover the country of the Quiet Man and Purple Taxi. This stunning region of Ireland is full of beautiful mountains, populated by sheep, alongside hundreds of lakes. Spot stone walls, small farms, thatched cottages and heather covered hills. The route takes you from Galway to the colourful town of Clifden, continuing through the Irish speaking low-lying part of Southern Connemara.

Day 4: Galway - Kerry
Depart for Kerry this morning and travel through the heart of the Burren Region - a geological paradise. Continue along the coast of Clare to view the spectacular cliffs of Moher. Continue through heritage town of Kilrush, crossing the River Shannon by ferry.

Day 5: Ring of Kerry
A superb tour of the Iveragh Peninsula (170km) awaits you today. Take in spectacular scenery of mountains, lakes and ocean views. Leaving Killarney, pass through Killorglin, onto Glenbeigh. Continuing to Cahersiveen, you will find the birth place of Ireland's national hero, Daniel O'Connell. Arrive at the sea town of Waterville, continue to Sneem village and enjoy stunning views of Lake Killarney.

Day 6: Dingle Peninsula & Limerick
Depart for a tour of the Dingle Peninsula, where many films have been made. The area west of Dingle has the greatest concentration of ancient sites in Kerry - expect dramatic landscapes and striking views.

Day 7: Limerick - Dublin
Returning to Dublin, we suggest you visit Birr Castle Demesne, where you can visit the gardens. Continue to Dublin, check into your hotel and complete a tour with a final visit to the city centre for some last minute sight-seeing.

Travel to Dublin Airport for your return flight home.

Day 1: Dublin

Take the “Yeats Country” road towards Parke’s Castle. The region of Sligo is famous for the beaches and watersports of Strandhill and Mullaghmore, as well as its relaxing and regenerating mud baths. The treatments are available at Voya Seaweed Baths in Strandmill.

Day 3: Sligo Region 
Marvel at the Slieve League Cliffs, which are among the highest sea cliffs in Europe. Make a detour to Killybegs, home of the largest fishing port of the island. Then continue visiting the town of Carrick.

Day 4: Mayo Region
Head west and explore Céide Fields in Ballycastle. It is oldest known field systems in the world, over five and a half millennia old. The remains of stone field walls, houses and megalithic tombs are preserved beneath a blanket of peat over several square miles and can be visited. Make a stop in the town of Newport which is at the heart of the Great Western Greenway, a 42km long Idyllic countryside, walking & cycling trail.

Day 5: Mayo & Connemara Region
Take some time tovisit the island of Achill where there is a host of outdoor activities to entertain you: Hiking, fishing, golf, arts, horse-riding, surf, windsurf or diving. Also visit Westport, a typically Georgian town which is much appreciated by tourists. You’ll find the Matt Molloys pub, famous for its traditional music. You will also have the opportunity to visit the Westport House and Country Park outside of the village.

Day 6: Connemara Region

Continue along the coastline to observe the spectacular “Moher” rocks that form a 200m wall, disappearing into the Atlantic Ocean. If you are visiting on a bright day, watch out for Galway Bay and the “Loop Head”. Continue the road to Kilrush, then cross the Shannon River by ferry (not included in the package), then continue towards Kerry area.

Day 9: Ring of Kerry
Embar on an amazing tour around the peninsula of Iveragh (170km): spectacular mountains, peatlands, lakes and unforgettable views on the Atlantic Ocean can be enjoyed while travelling along the coastline. Head towards Cahersiveen, where the Irish legend Daniel O’Conell was born. The road goes on towards the village of Sneem, famous for its colourful houses. Return back to your hotel & drink in a spectacular view of the lakes of Killarney.

Day 10: Kerry - Dublin
Head back towards Dublin and make a stop at the Award-Winning Gardens of Birr Castle, rich in rare trees and flowers, wonderful wildlife, and an idyllic place to walk along peaceful river banks. Spend your last night soaking up the culture of Dublin.

Day 11: Departure
Travel to Dublin Airport for your return flight home.

Day 1: Dublin

Spend the day exploring Ireland's capital. A small city with a huge heart, Dublin is a fantastic location for a culture-filled break. The enticing mix of ancient and modern provides ample opportunity for sightseeing, whether you want designer shopping and buzzing nightlife, or historic architecture and quaint cobbled streets. You can also visit the Guiness Brewery & Jameson Distillery. Afterwards, depart for Donegal.

Day 3: Donegal
Far away from tourist centres remains the rather secret and wild landscapes of Donegal. It is considered to be the most beautiful area in Ireland, especially with the diverse landscapes of Glenveagh national park. Expect panoramic coastlines, deep bays, and long & deserted beaches.

Day 4: Travel Towards Sligo

Guests may book optional visits to Trinity College or Kylemore Abbey at the next stage of the booking process.

Trinity College
Visit the oldest University of Ireland, founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth I. Long forbidden to Catholics, this university has a rich history with many famous former students. Within its walls, you can admire the Parliament Square and its eighteenth century buildings. In the old library are contained more than 200,000 manuscripts.
Kylemore Abbey
This Gothic-style castle built in the 19th century by a wealthy Manchester merchant now belongs to the Benedictine nuns. Imposing, at the foot of the mountains and at the edge of a lake surrounded by rhododendrons, it is located in a region of great serenity and beauty. Only the entrance hall and three rooms are open to the public, the rest being occupied by the Sisters and a boarding school for girls (famous international school). A walk along the wooded shoreline, crosses bubbling streams and leads to the neo-Gothic church, miniature replica of Norwich Cathedral.

Car Hire

Please note you cannot be guaranteed a specific make of car within a certain group.
The minimum age for driving a hire car in Ireland is 21 and drivers must have held a full driving licence for a least 1 year.

The lead name on the booking will be confirmed as the named driver.  The named driver must present a credit card in their name when collecting the car (credit cards in other names will not be accepted).

The named driver must also present a full valid driving licence on collection of the vehicle and in some cases a credit card or cash deposit will be required.

Please ensure that you check your car hire documents carefully once received as this will advise if there are any taxes/charges to be paid locally as well as potential mileage restrictions.

Please check all details on this confirmation are correct. If there are any discrepancies, please notify us as soon as possible.

The airline is ticketless and therefore, you will not receive any hard copy documents. You will however, receive an email from us detailing your flight information and reference number to enable you to manage your booking online via the airline website.

You will also receive an accommodation voucher for presentation at the hotel reception at point of check-in.

If you have booked transfers car hire or airport lounges, you will receive a separate voucher for each of these services. Please note that transfer vouchers are sent directly from the transfer supplier.

Please do make sure that you either add Voyage Privé to your Safe Senders list or check your Junk mail regularly for your travel documents.

We will send all documents out as early as possible (subject to full payment being received) but you should receive all your documentation at least 10 days prior to departure.
