Ubud is the cultural heart of Bali, home to many artists studios, museums and traditional souvenirs. Being almost right at the centre of the island, swathes of rice paddies, an active volcano and lush forest cover the surrounding landscapes, adding to the immersive experience of visiting the 'real' and more traditional part of the island.
The beaches in Bali are famous for surfing, diving and snorkelling, so watersports lovers will be in their element. The dining and bar scene are also well known for being outstanding, with chic sunset view bars and world class gourmet restaurants lining the shores of the most popular tourists spots.
Your Itinerary —
Arrive in the afternoon at Ngurah Rai International airport in Denpasar, where your local guide will greet you. A private transfer will take you to Sanur, a beautiful beachside town on Bali's east coast, popular for its beaches, cultures and its laid back atmosphere.
Sanur, "The morning of the world" is the new branding given to Sanur as a destination which is not far to be true, unfoldswhite sand along the coast, morning sunrise is the attraction that visitors are always looking for.

Breakfast at hotel. People mostly visit this beautiful sea temple in the afternoon for sunset. To avoid the crowd this morning, we will enjoy one of the most famous temples in Bali set dramatically on a small rock about 100m off the coast, Tanah Lot. Continue heading north through a small wreck road to reach Jatiliuih village.
Along the way, your eyes are pampered with alluring scenery. Jatiluwih is a highlight, a spacious fascinating rice terrace in Bali.
Lunch will be at a local restaurant which is just a few steps away from this UNESCO heritage site. Afterwards head to the famous Ulun Danu Temple, which sits on a small island on the far shores of the lake. Continue north, turning off the main road to a small mountain road overlooking the twin lakes, Buyan and Tamblingan. Stop for photos and enjoy the scenery before descending to the beautiful remote area of Munduk. Check in at your hotel and free at leisure.

Breakfast at hotel. Early in the morning, have a chance to explore Munduk with a light hike after breakfast, heading back to the twin lakes Buyan and Tamblingan, where you begin a short trek through the rainforest.
Walking through the narrow path will take you to the rim of the lake, passing many interesting plantations, to explore the heritage of Balinese medicinal plants. Upon arrival at the lakeside, a traditional wooden boat awaits you to continue to your next adventure, crossing the two lakes on your way to the temple at the other side of the lake. This trip will take approximately 40 minutes accompanied by your local guide.
Drive back to Munduk to your hotel to freshen up and enjoy a tasty lunch. After, your trip continues to the west to reach Pemuteran, near to West Bali National Park.

Breakfast at hotel. Leave the hotel in the morning, crossing by a traditional wooden boat to reach Menjangan Island. Enjoy the crystal-clear waters and explore the marine diversity of western Bali. It is possible to see turtles, intricate coral gardens, eels, sharks and some other aquatic species.
You’ll have the chance to jump in and snorkel in the pristine waters as we make our way to Menjangan Island. Once on the island, explore the quiet beaches and jungle interior or swim and snorkel off the shore.
A picnic lunch will be served before crossing back to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day free at leisure to relax amid the tranquil surroundings.

On the way stop at Banjar, continuing to admire the wide expanse of Lovina beach. In the distance from the top of the hill where the Buddhist monastery Brahma Vihara is located as the central hub for Buddhists in Bali. Check in at your hotel and rest of day free at leisure.

Day 6: Pemuteran - Sekumpul Waterfall - Kintamani - Guliang (approx. travel time: 8 hour)
Start the day will breakfast at the hotel. From Lovina, drive through many traditional villages to reach one of Bali’s hidden paradise: Sekumpul Waterfall. Upon arrival start the trek passing local houses and plantations prior to hundreds of stairs and a narrow path that leads you down to the river.
Before you reach the river you can see the fascinating panorama of the waterfalls from the top; not only one but six different waterfalls separated by a dense green valley - experience the pure serenity of this Balinese atmosphere. You can jump, swim and pour your head into the cold and fresh water of the 80 meters high waterfall.
Next to Kintamani, where you will enjoy spectacular views over Lake Batur and its volcano, Mt Batur. Although Mt Batur (1412m) is not the highest volcano in Bali, it is the most active and is surrounded by an impressive caldera. Your late lunch will be served while you still be able to enjoy this beautiful panorama. Drive to Guliang village, your home for the next 2 nights.

Enjoy a simple breakfast at a local house as Balinese do every morning - of tea or coffee with Balinese cake. The activities start in the morning being a Balinese in a day, your host will let you know and show you the art of making the beautiful Balinese Canang Sari, the daily Balinese Hindu offering. Afterwards, stroll through the village to see how the elderly Balinese making the palm wine, locally known as Tuak. You will have the chance to taste this common alcoholic drink.
Proceed to a blacksmith's house and see how the people produce Balinese traditional tools and then continue to the next house where you will see a Balinese man making the traditional hat that is commonly used by the farmer. Upon arrival in the rice field, you will present the canang sari you made in the morning at a small shrine as the guardian of the field before you experience how the farmers working in the rice fields! You will learn how to plant or harvest rice (depending on season) and at the same time, you will have the opportunity to learn more about Subak, the Balinese traditional irrigation system that is a UNESCO-acknowledged way of sustainable farming. A delicious lunch will be served on a hut facing to the rice field. Transfer back to your home and free at leisure.
In the afternoon, proceed to the nearby village where the sacred 12 fountain located. This temple is well-known among the Balinese and is usually busy during the full moon, the 12 spouts are used by worshippers to purify themselves. The Guardian of the temple will accompany you to present the offering at the main temple; before pouring your head and the whole body with the sacred water.
Next, drive to Gianyar for today's final Balinese adventure of the day for a unique dining experience. In the morning this is a market where the local residents buy their groceries and by night amazing local food. This is your opportunity to blend in and eat like a local, there are many selections of food from fresh chicken satay to Nasi goreng or Balinese Rijsttafel Nasi campur to start your local cuisine adventure.

Breakfast at hotel. In the morning depart from your hotel to visit Gunung Kawi Temple located at Tampak Siring village in Pakerisan river, an archaeological complex carved out of the living rock, dating back to 11th century. The temple offers a beautiful view of lush surrounds; take the footpath down (approx 315 stone steps) to reach the temple passing through a spectacular rice terrace. You’ll drive along small, scenic roads offering beautiful views of the rice fields, especially near the village of Tegalalang.
Continue to Ubud’s Royal Palace in the heart of the small town: built in the 16th century the Palace is still home to Ubud’s King and its Royal family. Next, you will visit Ubud Market, the most popular traditional market in Bali and where the author of Eat Pray Love Elizabeth Gilbert found inspiration and love in Bali. Stroll along Ubud Art Market and learn to bargain as all Balinese souvenir stalls have no fixed price and you can find some real gems for a fraction of the original price. Your stroll will lead you to Cafe Wayan, the restaurant featured in Eat Pray Love and where you will enjoy a delicious set menu lunch specially prepared.
At the end pay a short visit to the monkey forest - home to a healthy population of long-tailed macaques and then drive onwards to your next hotel. Check-in and free at leisure.

Breakfast at hotel. Morning free at leisure. In the afternoon, drive to Uluwatu a beautiful holy temple at the southern tip of Bali, an exquisite monument perched above the sea. The temple and its surrounding is the home of hundreds of monkeys.
The best Bali’s sunset experience, a romantic atmosphere with traditional chanting of the hundred Balinese performing the most popular dance in Bali, Kecak. The performance tells the story of a love tale between Rama and Shinta. Transfer back to your hotel.
