Your Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Jogjakarta
Arrive at the Jogjakarta International Airport and meet with your guide to be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Spend the rest of your day at leisure.

Overnight in Jogjakarta at Gallery Prawirotaman 4* or similar.

Day 2: Jogjakarta – Borobudur – Candirejo – Jogjakarta
After breakfast in the morning visit Borobudur, 42 kilometres west of Jogjakarta. With your guide, explore this massive Buddhist Temple - the largest in the world - and discover the incredible history behind its construction. Comprised of thousands of volcanic and river stone blocks, the temple was assembled entirely by human labour and took more than 75 years to complete.

Today, the UNESCO Heritage site is still visible in its full glory- with magnificent carvings and an unusual, yet surprisingly beautiful bulk structure. Continue with a visit to nearby Mendut Temple. Older than Borobudur, this pyramid-shaped temple houses three impressively carved stone statues. You’ll also visit Pawon temple, a simple yet beautiful monument known for its precise symmetry. Following the temple touring, stop for lunch at a restaurant set amid the rice fields.

Next, you’ll get a taste for local life with a horse cart ride through Candirejo Village. Known as a dokar, the local horse cart will take you through this peaceful, charming village. You’ll travel along small lanes lined with traditional houses and stop to see village activities such as making cassava crackers, playing the gamelan and harvesting and drying of vanilla and chilli. Back to the hotel.

Day 3: Jogjakarta – Keraton - Taman Sari By Pedicab – Prambanan Temple – Jogjakarta
Following breakfast at the hotel, visit the Sultan’s Palace, also known as ‘Kraton’. This building, built between 1756 –1790, is a fine example of traditional Javanese sultanate architecture. As you walk through the various rooms and chambers, you will learn more about this aspect of Javanese heritage and culture. 

At the Keraton exit point, a pedicab or known as Becak wait for you for your short transfer to Taman Sari or Water Palace. This palace was built by the first Sultan of Jogjakarta especially dedicated to his harem as a bathing pool. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit Prambanan Temple - an ancient Hindu temple complex built in the ninth century, which features three main inner shrines dedicated to the Hindu trinity: Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. It is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Transfer back to your hotel.

Day 4: Jogjakarta – Train To Jombang – Malang
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. In the morning transfer to Jogjakarta train station, board to Sancaka morning executive train to Jombang and you will enjoy your scenic train ride to East Java. The train departing at 06:45 and arriving 10:25 (Schedule is subject to change without notice).

Upon arrival in Jombang train station, your driver will be waiting for you for your transfer to Malang (approx 2 hours), the second largest city in East Java, Malang was playing an important rule from a long time ago proved by historical remnant scattered around Malang. One of the beautiful temple you will visit is Candi Singosari was founded in honour of the King Kertanegara. Check-in and lunch at the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day free at leisure.

Overnight in Malang area at Santika Malang 4* or similar. Breakfast at the hotel and lunch at the hotel.

Day 5: Malang – Morning Sunrise – Kalibaru Lunch – Ketapang
Wake up early this morning for a sunrise tour of Mt. Bromo from Penanjakan. Leaving the hotel by 4WD Jeep at 01:30 am to reach the first stop point at Penanjakan I (2.770 m) approximately 2 hours from hotel passing through wide sea sand. From this point, the stunning views of the Bromo volcano and surrounding area await and you will see the sun rise up from behind the volcano. Afterwards continue by jeep down to the volcano caldera which usually still covered by mist early in the morning. 

Next, enjoy your breakfast at Lava view hotel where you will still enjoy the view of Mt Bromo from the distance. After your breakfast board to your vehicle for your long journey to East Java. Stop at Kalibaru for your lunch. Continue your journey to the eastern tip of Java Dwipa - the old name of Java to reach Ketapang. Check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day free at leisure.

Overnight in Ketapang area hotel at Ketapang Indah 3* or similar. Breakfast and lunch on tours.
Day 6: Ketapang - Ijen – Morning Trek – Pemuteran
Early in the morning at 05:00 am, you will join one of the most inspiring trips in Java, board on Jeep 4x4 to reach Ijen paltuding. It will take about 1h to reach the base camp paltuding (1850 m) from your hotel in Ketapang passing through mountainous road with many plantations on the left and right side (Breakfast box included). The trek to the top of the volcano is 3km with pack dirt pathway, a moderate hike, which will take you in a few hours (1h30 – 2h) up to the peak of Mt. Ijen (2385 m).

On the way, you will meet the sulfur people, those tough locals who carry 80 kg baskets, filled with the “yellow gold”. Thesulfur mining is done at the base of Crater Lake, way up. Once you arrive there, the views are truly stunning. Whatever direction you turn, mountain tops peak aloft the clouds. Down at the jade coloured lake, the seam from deep down below is transformed into yellow crystals. Descending from the top of Mt. Ijen via the same road, sometimes it looks even more difficult with its steep and slippery path. Transfer back to your hotel. Afterwards, drive toward Ketapang and then cross by ferry to reach the western tip of Bali's island, Pemuteran. Lunch will be served at local restaurant.

Overnight in Pemuteran at Adi Assri 4* (Superior option) or similar. Including breakfast and lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 7: Pemuteran – Free At Leisure
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy your day at leisure by the hotel’s pool, listen to your favourite music or read a book and enjoy some relaxation time.

Overnight in Pemuteran at Adi Assri 4* or similar. Including breakfast.

Day 8: Pemuteran – Kintamani – Coffee Plantation – Tegalalang – Ubud Palace – Ubud
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart after breakfast and check-out at the hotel, heading to the centre of the island to Kintamani to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Batur volcano and the crater lake below. The unspoiled natural scenery is spellbinding and has a rather alpine appearance. Mount Batur is, without doubt, one of Bali’s most impressive attractions. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

On the way to Ubud, stop at a coffee plantation with a spectacular view of the valley. You will discover some tropical plantation, see the traditional process of coffee making and you may taste some coffee blend. Next, Tegalalang to view a small in size, but an amazing rice terrace in Bali, beautifully made by nature to entice visitors to come and feel the breeze. Afterwards continue through a scenic drive via Petulu to reach the centre of Ubud, the Ubud palace where the Royal Family still lives in the palace and at night the garden is used for staging some of Bali’s most important dances, such as the Legong Dance, Barong Dance, Ramayana and Mahabrata ballets. Transfer to Ubud hotel and free at leisure.

Day 9: Ubud – Taman Ayun Temple – Bedugul – Ulun Danu Temple – Tanah Lot Temple – Ubud
Breakfast at the hotel. You will start with a visit to Taman Ayun, the Royal Temple of Mengwi. Built in 1634, this very impressive temple is Bali’s most sacred, surrounded by a wide moat which creates the sensation as if you are standing in the middle of the lake. From there, continue on to Bedugul. This pleasant mountain village is located on Lake Bratan and you will visit its Botanical gardens and fresh market. Due to its higher altitude and cooler weather, Bedugul is Bali’s agricultural centre for vegetables.

Afterwards, enjoy your set menu lunch at a local private retreat which is now open for public by the lake. At the end of your lunch, take a short walk to the shore of the lake and then board a traditional boat or Jukung for a short paddle to reach the Ulun Danu Temple. You will discover this magnificent water temple from a different angle. See the temple from the distance standing proudly on the lake. At the end of the day, you will head to Tanah Lot Temple, Bali’s most photographed. The temple is perched on a little rocky islet that is inaccessible during high tides. After visiting Tanah Lot your driver will take you back to your accommodation.

Day 10: Ubud – Mask Maker – Arma Museum – Monkey Forest – Nusa Dua
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, meet your local tour guide and heading to Mas village located just next to east part of Ubud. Explore the art of Ubud and surrounding meet with high profile, a talented mask maker, I Wayan Muka whose works illustrate very intricate detailing and are often used in performances. You will have the privilege to meet him and dig even deeper into his passion.

Afterwards, transfer to Ubud, discover one of the best collection of Balinese and Indonesian painting at Agung Rai Museum of Art or popular as ARMA museum, It is more than a museum it is a living tradition as when you stroll along the compound featured a lush tropical garden that provides an elegant and tranquil environment. Next, take a short walk through a rice paddy from the main road of Ubud to enjoy your organic lunch at Sari Organic restaurant. An oasis within walking distance of Ubud busy market. At the end pay a short visit to the monkey forest - home to a healthy population of long-tailed macaques and then drive onward to your hotel.

Day 11: Nusa Dua – Free At Leisure
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy your day at leisure by the hotel’s pool, listen to your favourite music or read a book and enjoy some relaxation.

Day 12: Nusa Dua – Uluwatu Temple – Kecak Dance – Simple BBQ Dinner
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy your morning free at leisure.

In the afternoon, drive to Uluwatu a beautiful holy temple at the southern tip of Bali, an exquisite monument perched above the sea. The temple and surrounding is the home of hundreds of monkeys which consider as the guardian for the locals. The best Bali’s sunset experience, a romantic atmosphere with a golden colour of the far horizon while the chanting of the hundred Balinese performing the most popular dance in Bali, Kecak, typical Balinese’s magical ambience. The performance tells the story of an eternal love tale between Rama and Shinta. Then head back to your vehicle for a short transfer to Jimbaran to end the day with a hearty fresh grilled seafood dinner.

Day 13: Nusa Dua – Departure to Denpasar Airport
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet with your guide and then transfer to Denpasar Bali airport for your flight back home.
