In the northern part of the island are the ruins of the Temple of Poseidon, which was built around 520 BC. Near the temple there was the settlement of Kalavria, while in Vagionia bay there was another ancient settlement which is now underwater- this area is ideal for diving!
In the centre of Poros town, a maze of cobbled streets, you will find the historeci clock tower - built in 1927 it is visible from every part of the island Walking up to the top of the hill where the clock stands gives amazing panoramic views.
