For a relaxing escape, visit Normandy with its green meadows and endless golden sandy beaches. Canisy Castle is a 35-minute drive from the coast and is a preserved and authentic Norman castle that will take you on a journey back in time.

Your Hotel —

The Chateau de Canisy Hotel is surrounded by sprawling lawns and picturesque lakes and forests. Its initial construction started before 1066 and it has been owned by the same noble family for a millennium; today, the Comte and Comtesse de Kergorlay welcome guests into their historic home.

Upon arrival, a welcome drink will be offered (per person and per stay).

Set on 740 wooded acres inhabited by cows and geese, the 11th-century Chateau de Canisy is a storybook castle complete with towers, moats and parapets, and enough Empire chairs, brocade fabrics and leatherbound tomes to fill a museum.

Each room features period furniture, fine fabrics and takes you on a journey back in time.

- Canisy Classic Room (30 m² / max 2 persons): Soak up the authentic atmosphere of this cosy and spacious room.

- Superior Room (40 m² / max 2 persons): The contemporary Superior Room offers visitors a soothing view of the green spaces surrounding the castle. It has a pleasant bathroom with bathtub.

- Deluxe Suite (50 m² / max 2 persons): Also featuring views of the surrounding nature, the Deluxe Suite features period furniture and fabrics. It has a pleasant bathroom with bathtub.

- Canisy Grande Deluxe (45 m² / max 2 persons): This twin/double room has a sofa and offers lake views.

- Two-Bedroom Suite (68 m² / max. Sleeps 4): This quadruple room features a private entrance, lake view and sofa.

Please note: the bed for the 3rd/4th guest sharing is likely to be a sofa bed or camp style bed.

Taste

Start each day with a heart breakfast at the hotel. Book your lunch or dinner at the romantic hotel restaurant for traditional French cuisine, made from seasonal products.

Please note: The restaurant is open from 06:30 to 22:00.

Experience

After a restful sleep, take a stroll through the superb grounds surrounding the castle. Watch the sunset over the lake or rent some bikes and discover the surrounding countryside. Visit the hotel library and enjoy a relaxing evening with one of the many books.

Contract —

If you book a package which includes flights, your contract will be with Voyage Privé. The air holiday package(s) shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 10170.

If you book a package which does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as agent for the accommodation provider.

Travel documents —

You will receive an email confirming your booking within the next 48 hours. Please check all details on this confirmation are correct. If there are any discrepancies, please notify us as soon as possible. 

Accommodation Only:
You will also receive an accommodation voucher for presentation at the hotel reception at point of check-in.

Flight Inclusive Offers
The airline is ticket-less and therefore, you will not receive any hard copy documents. You will however, receive an email from us detailing your flight information and reference number to enable you to manage your booking online via the airline website. You will also receive an accommodation voucher for presentation at the hotel reception at point of check-in.

Please do make sure that you either add Voyage Privé to your Safe Senders list or check your Junk mail regularly for your travel documents. We will send all documents out as early as possible (subject to full payment being received) but you should receive all your documentation at least 10 days prior to departure.
