Ibiza breaks - from culture weekends to family sunshine getaways, the island has something for everyone
Table of contents
Steeped in history with beautiful beaches and fantastic restaurants, Ibiza truly has something for everyone. City breaks have never been more exciting!
Ibiza, one of the Balaeric islands in the Mediterranean Sea, is located about 150 kilometres from the coast of eastern Spain. Mostly known for its party reputation, Ibiza is often overlooked by travellers whose main priority is not visiting some of the biggest clubs in Europe. However, with beautiful cities such as UNESCO World Heritage Site Ibiza Town and beautiful beaches such as Playa den Bossa, it's certainly worth considering for weekends or extended getaways.
You can roam the old ramparts of Ibiza Town's UNESCO World Heritage Dalt Vila to really immerse yourself in the island's wonderfully rich culture and heritage. You could step off the beaten track for some downtime in a rural villa or hotel. Or why not spend a spell in a secluded north-coast cove to discover the peaceful side to Ibiza you never knew existed?
Ibiza's capital is quite captivating, with its alluring whitewashed old quarter topped by an enchanting cathedral. Dalt Vila is a hilltop fort which was first settled by the ancient civilisation of the Phoenicans. Tranquil and full of atmosphere, you can explore many of its lanes by foot.
Surrounding Dalt Vila are protective walls reaching more than 25 metres in height. Beautifully lit up at night, these walls were built to keep Ibiza's citizen's safe from pirates. You can walk the entire perimeter of these staggering ramparts and enjoy fantastic views over the Port and sea.
For those more interested in a relaxing break, Ibiza is brimming with beautiful beaches and bays. Some are very family orientated, so that you can relax in the sun while the children safely play in the lovely blue waters of the mediteranean sea. Cala Conta is one such beach, a Blue Flag beach with relatively shallow waters so that children can paddle safely. Talamanca is a lovely long beach with stunning views across the ocean. There are some fabulous restaurants within walking distance where you can have a well earned lunch. Playa den Bossa is one of the most popular beaches and has the added bonus of having lifeguards on duty - extra peace of mind for parents with little ones.
Whether you are looking for a city break that you can spend exploring an enchanting old city, a weekend away with the family or a quick getaway, our exclusive offers on handpicked breaks to Ibiza has something that will suit everyone.
