Check out the music and art scene

Boston has a thriving art and music scene that began in the 19th century when it earned the title the "Athens of America". Today, the lucky visitors to Boston (and residents) benefit from a history of established art and a rich music scene. These institutions play an important role in Boston's cultural era, which has significantly expanded to include music, theatre, and dynamic contemporary art. Whether you're on the lookout for a jazz band in a local bar, an arena concert featuring famous faces or a classic play or musical at the Boston theatre, you can discover it all on a holiday to Boston.

When by the sea, indulge in seafood

Do as the locals do and eat as much seafood as you can whilst on a holiday to Boston. Thanks to its location, seafood in Boston is high quality and delicious. Sample the local specialities of fresh steamed lobster, the 'sacred cod,' oysters on the half-shell and delicious and thick creamy chowder. You can sample seafood all around the city, but you should definitely take a trip to the centre of seafood cuisine, Seaport District, where your delicious food will be accompanied by spectacular views of the harbour. You can wash it all down with a locally brewed craft beer.

A great trip with beautiful leaf colours. Departure date was 09/10/19 which seemed about perfect for ensuring the best colour changes. Hotels were all good although the ones in Vermont and New Hampshire particularly stood out. All were clean with good size rooms, plenty of towels, toiletries etc. Would thoroughly recommend this trip; it's a lot of driving if you want to cram as much in as possible but still relaxing as you're moving on to new sights and places all the time.
