Part of its beauty and seductiveness is the rich coastline at the Algarve, where you can observe nature in the form of interesting wildlife. Off to the west, the coastline is a little more rugged and rustic, which provides a contrast to the highly developed and convenient eastern part.
No Algarve family holiday is complete without a trip to Aquashow Park. On the northwestern side of Faro, it is one of the biggest water parks in the whole of Portugal. Boasting myriad rides for all age groups, there's something for everyone. Adventurers will relish the recent addition of the FreeFall; with chutes dropping a mighty over 100ft, it is the longest free-fall water slide in the whole of Europe. There is also a Lazy River for relaxing in and soaking up the glorious sun!

Faro is the centre of administration and is home to some 55,000 people. With an old town area and a cathedral, Faro is also equipped with stunning, quirky shops. Lagos is a European hub, with a busy marina and a rich history. Various beaches jewel the city, which also has a fort. Portimão is the capital of the area and has both a museum and a marina.
