Verona is steeped in Roman history, a mecca for Shakespeare lovers and home of famous wine and extraordinary food. Due to its Shakespearean connection with Romeo and Juliet, it has become a true city of romance, though less tourist-driven and with a more relaxed feel than its neighbour, Venice.

Your Itinerary —
DAY ONE
On arrival at Verona airport, you will be greeted by a representative and transferred to your hotel on the shores of Lake Garda; where you will stay for seven nights. Evening at leisure and dinner in the hotel.
DAY TWO
After breakfast in the hotel you will have the day at leisure to explore the local area. Lunch not included. Evening at leisure and dinner in the hotel.
DAY THREE
After breakfast we depart the hotel for a day excursion exploring the beautiful Mediterranean style resorts along the southern shore of Lake Garda including a boat ride and coach travel. Free time to visit the picturesque town of Sirmione, famous for its medieval castle and geo-thermal springs. Lunch not included. In the afternoon we’ll head towards the pretty lakeside towns of Garda or Bardolino home to many famous vineyards. Evening at leisure and dinner in the hotel.
DAY FOUR
After breakfast in the hotel we make the short journey by coach to the ancient city of Verona, sitting on the banks of the River Adige this Roman city is not only home to the world’s second largest Roman amphitheatre but also the setting of Shakespeare’s play Romeo & Juliet. Included is a guided tour of the famous sights. Lunch not included. Evening at leisure and dinner in the hotel.
DAY FIVE
Breakfast in the hotel. Today is arguably the most impressive day! We have a guided excursion of the spectacular Dolomite mountain ranges including visits to Canazei, and at over 3,000m - the highest point of the entire mountain range - Marmolada as well as the wonderful Val Gardenia where you can enjoy breath-taking views and take beautiful pictures. Lunch not included. Evening at leisure and dinner in the hotel.
DAY SIX
After breakfast, we head towards the world famous canal city of Venice. Your time here will be spent on a guided excursion taking in the sights of the spectacular St. Mark’s Square, the Cathedral and bell tower, Doge’s Palace, Rialto Bridge and the famous Bridge of Sighs. Lunch not included. Evening at leisure and dinner in the hotel.
DAY SEVEN
Our final full day gives you time at leisure to once again explore the local area, after breakfast. Lunch not included. Evening at leisure and dinner in the hotel.
DAY EIGHT
Breakfast is included on our final morning before a mid-day check out from the hotel, before transferring to Verona airport for your flight home.
