Day 6: Höfn–Jökulsárlón–Skaftafell–Vík
Today you can follow the road that runs along the fjords of the East of Iceland famous for the beauty of its coast and its colonies of swans. After passing the village of Höfn that flourishes thanks to the lobster fishing and glacier tourism (Vatnajökull glacier) you will reach the famous Jökulsárlón lagoon. Take a boat trip between the icebergs (included in the price) and then walk on the beach to get the beautiful photos of the crystal clear ice blocks and (with luck) seals. Visit Skaftafell National Park and take a walk to discover the Svartifoss waterfall and Svinafellsjökull glacier. Then, your road will run along the great Vatnajökull glacier. Crossing the Eldhraun lava field created in one of the great eruptions of Laki in 1783, you can realize the splendour of the phenomenon. Make a stop in Vik, little shopping center on the edge of the glacier, drive to Skogar to discover the spectacular waterfalls called Skogarfoss and Seljalandsfoss. Once there, you will have the unique opportunity to walk behind the waterfall.Day 7: South cost–Reykjavík–KeflavíkBack in Reykjavik
You can spend your free time you will have on this day visiting the capital and its surroundings by bus with the possibility to get a boat and, if you are lucky enough, to see the whales (optional).Day 8: Keflavík
Transfer to the airport. Please keep in mind: it is very important to return the vehicle at the same time as that you picked it up. If you don ́t, the rental company will charge you an extra day. Be careful with this detail to avoid paying an extra fee.
