Your Itinerary —

Upon arrival at Noi Bai international airport in Hanoi, where you will be welcomed by a guide and transferred to your hotel in the city centre to check in. Relax after a long journey. Overnight in Hanoi.
Note: Check-in time: 14:00. Early check-in is not included.
Day 2: Hanoi – Orientation (B)
After breakfast at the hotel we explore the city of Hanoi on our included city tour. First on the agenda is Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum Complex, where Uncle Ho is laid out in state, surrounded by immaculately dressed soldiers (The mausoleum is closed on every Mondays and Fridays). Next, we will visit the Presidential Palace where Ho refused to live, choosing instead a small stilt house beside a lake. Close by, the next stop is the One Pillar Pagoda. A tour around the beautiful West Lake takes us to the venerable Temple of Literature built in 1077 – Vietnam’s first university. In the afternoon, take a walking tour in the old quarter around the old streets which were named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places. Stop at Hoan Kiem Lake to learn about legend of the lake and visit Ngoc Son Temple. Overnight in Hanoi.
After breakfast, you will depart by road to Ha Long Bay, a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. Travel through the rich farmlands of the Delta of Red river and the landscape of rice fields, water buffalo, the daily life of the Vietnamese village. Arrive in Halong and board to board a traditional junk. Lunch on board. The cruise passes by many rocks and islets in many funny shapes. The cruise may stop for a while for visiting the cave. Later on the junk move to docking area for ovenight. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4: Ha Long Bay – Hanoi (Brunch/Local guide on boat)
In the morning, your brunch will be served while doing further cruise to explore the beauties of the Bay before returning to the Wharf. The junk continues cruising toward Ha Long port. Ready for disembarking. Our driver will be there to pick you up back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.
Breakfast boxes will be arranged for you today and meet your driver and proceed to the airport for a flight to Quang Binh. Quang Binh is provincial capital city of Dong Hoi - a main staging area for the North Vietnamese Army (NVA) and was therefore heavily bombed by the Americans. The town suffered more than most during the American War.
Upon arrival, meet your guide and proceed to your hotel to leave luggage before going on a tour. Observe beautiful view from Nhat Le Bridge which divided the town now restored with a beautiful riverside promenade.
Two restored gates mark the remains of the Dong Hoi Citadel. Visit the quirky Vuc Quanh Outdoor War Museum created by one individual, Mr Lien, to commemorate the civilian war experience of Dong Hoi, housing his personal war memorabilia.
Continue driving to Phong Nha–Ke Bang National Park. Get on a boat trip on Son River to Phong Nha Cave. Enter the cave to admire the magnificent stalactites and stalagmites.
Then return to your hotel and be free for the remainder of the day. Overnight in Quang Binh.
Day 6: Quang Binh - Paradise Cave (B)
After breakfast, you will travel on Victory Road 20 to the entrance of Phong Nha National Park and Victory Road 20 a historic road used during the Vietnam War. Stop on the way to visit Hang 8 Co (8 Ladies Cave) and the memorial temple for the volunteers who sacrificed to maintain the Victory Road 20 during the war through the narrowest part of the country.
Arrive to Paradise Grotto which is an amazing cave with various shapes of stalactite and stalagmite. The cave is the longest cave in South East Asia (31km) and was found by Ho Khanh in 2005.
Lunch at Paradise Cave restaurant at your own expense.
Late afternoon, driver back to your hotel and overnight.
Day 7: Dong Hoi - DMZ - Hue (B)
After breakfast, check out and drive to Quang Tri for visiting the historical sites of Khe Sanh Combat, Ho Chi Minh Trail, Rock Pile, etc. Have lunch at local restaurant at your own expense. In the afternoon drive back to Hue with stop en route to visit Quang Tri Old Citadel. Check in Vedana Lagoon Resort & Spa, 45 minutes drive from Hue city center and 30 minutes drive from Phu Bai Airport.
Overnight in Hue.
After breakfast, you will visit the impressive home of the Nguyen Dynasty emperors (1820-1945), the Imperial City and the Royal Citadel. Much of the Citadel was destroyed during the Tet Offensive in 1968 but is gradually being restored. Continue by boat on Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda, Hue's oldest and most beautiful pagoda, thought to be the symbol or religion and spirit of Hue people. After the visit, car picks up from there to the tomb of King Minh Mang. Lunch will be at your own and followed by a visit to the tomb of King Khai Dinh. Overnight in Hue.
Day 9: Hue free (B)
A free day to relax and hide away at Vedana resort!
After breakfast, you will be free at your resort until being transferred to the airport (no guide) for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, you’re welcomed by our guide and check in your hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City & Cu Chi Tunnels (B)
After breakfast, visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, 70km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, created since 1948 to assist the Viet Minh to combat the French. This is an underground city with living areas, kitchens, storage, weapon shops, field hospitals and command centers. During the Vietnam War the entire area of Cu Chi was designated a fire free zone and was heavily bombarded. From 1988, two sections of the tunnels have been opened for visitors. Back to Saigon by noon time and have lunch at your own expense.
In the afternoon, visit the moving War Remnants Museum which presents a partial, but riveting, view of the American War, as it is known in Vietnam. Continue to the Reunification Palace, former residence of the Indochina Governor General and later President of the Republic of Southern Vietnam until the fall of Saigon in April 30, 1975. The day ends with visit to Notre Dame Cathedral and the bustling Ben Thanh Market for shopping. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City - Ben Tre - Ho Chi Minh City (B/L)
After breakfast, depart from your hotel at 08:00, it takes only 2 hours pleasant drive to Ben Tre province crossing Rach Mieu bridge. On arrival in Hung Vuong Pier, hop on a motorized boat on Ben Tre River – one of tributaries of Mekong river while sight-seeing lively activities along river as fishing, water transferring. Our first stop is at brick kiln to see how to make bricks traditionally by printing and baking.
Continue to visit one of plenty of coconut processing workshops located along canal. Return to the boat and go through natural scissors creeks to a village and see some local houses making sleeping mats and enjoying some fruits. Take a motorized cart (tuk tuk) or bicycle on shady paths, pass by green rice fields and vegetable plains to be able to touch on real life and find out about tropical culture from peasants. Have lunch at local a riverside restaurant.
After lunch, we take a rowing-boat along beautiful water palm creek before meeting up the motorized boat and transfer you back to the pier. Our car will be picked you up there
Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City - Departure (B)
You will be free today until meet our guide again to drive to the airport for your departure flight.
